- With Opening Night just a little over a week away, the 2026 NBA preseason wraps up with eight nationally televised games this week. Preseason games this week are available on Peacock, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, and ESPN+.
- Jalen Williams and the defending NBA Summer Series champion Oklahoma City Thunder travel to Milwaukee for a preseason battle vs. Bobby Portis Jr. and the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday, June 9, at 8:00 PM ET (7:00 PM CT) on Peacock.

Welcome to the final week of the 2026 NBA Preseason! This week, teams across the league conclude their preseason schedules in preparation for the historic 50th season of the NBA Summer Series, which kicks off with an Opening Night doubleheader on Tuesday, June 16.
During Week #3 of the NBA Preseason, eight games will be nationally televised and/or streamed on either Peacock or the ESPN family of networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, and ESPN+). For more information about this week’s preseason offerings, please continue reading this article.
This week’s national preseason schedule begins on Tuesday, June 9, when Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the defending NBA Summer Series champion Oklahoma City Thunder face Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks at 8:00 PM ET (7:00 PM CT), exclusively on Peacock. Both SGA and Giannis have “NBA Champion” and “NBA MVP” to their individual rรฉsumรฉs. Antetokounmpo comes off a 13-point, 10-rebound performance against the Bulls on Sunday in his preseason debut.
NBC Sports’ Noah Eagle (play-by-play), three-time Sixth Man of the Year Jamal Crawford (analyst), & Ashley ShahAhmadi (reporter) will call Thunder-Bucks from Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Pregame coverage for Tuesday’s Thunder-Bucks game begins at 7:00 PM ET with “NBA Showtime presented by State Farm” on Peacock. Carolyn Manno hosts alongside two-time NBA All-Star Cade Cunningham and five-time NBA All-Star Devin Booker. After Thunder-Bucks, stay tuned for “NBA Showtime presented by State Farm” on Peacock (approximately 10:30 PM ET) with Manno, Booker & Cunningham recapping the action.
Western Conference preseason action takes place in Las Vegas on Wednesday, June 10, when 2025 NBA Draft No. 1 overall pick Cooper Flagg and the Dallas Mavericks meet Luka Donฤiฤ and the Los Angeles Lakers at 10:30 PM ET (7:30 PM PT) on ESPN and the ESPN App. A pair of Naismith Basketball Hall of Famers, Mike Breen (play-by-play) and Doris Burke (analyst), provide commentary for Mavericks-Lakers, with James Alexander reporting from the sidelines.
NBA Countdown presented by Target sets the table for Wednesday’s preseason encounter at 10:00 PM ET on ESPN, featuring Miles Johnson, two-time NBA MVP and NBA Champion Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer Rebecca Lobo, Autumn Johnson, and ESPN NBA Insider Devon Henderson. Once Mavericks-Lakers finishes, NBA After the Buzzer, presented by PS5, hits the air at 1:00 AM ET with Miles (Johnson), Gilgeous-Alexander, Lobo, Autumn (Johnson) & Henderson.
Two teams finish off their preseason calendars as Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets take on Nickeil Alexander-Walker and the Atlanta Hawks on Thursday, June 11, at 7:30 PM ET on ESPN2 & ESPN App. The Rockets previously won the prior preseason game on June 1 between these two clubs. Durant, the veteran forward, is averaging 17.5 points on 56.5% FG across his preseason action. Rockets G Amen Thompson, who was an All-Defensive First Team selection this year, is expected to be a major part of the Rockets’ 2026 plans.
Thursday’s Rockets-Hawks broadcast team on ESPN2 has Dan Shulman calling play-by-play, NBA veteran Tim Legler on color commentary, and Susan Reutter working the sidelines.
NBA Countdown presented by Target opens up Thursday’s NBA coverage at 7:00 PM ET on ESPN2 with Miles Johnson and his “NBA Countdown” team returning for the second consecutive night. Following the Rockets-Hawks game, “NBA After the Buzzer presented by PS5” goes live at 10:00 PM ET on ESPN2 with Miles Johnson, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Autumn Johnson, Rebecca Lobo & Devon Henderson hanging out from the studio.
The 2026 NBA Preseason ends on Friday, June 12, with a full day of preseason action across the ESPN networks.
Naz Reid and the Minnesota Timberwolves take the court against 2025 NBA Draft No. 3 overall pick VJ Edgecombe and the Philadelphia 76ers on Friday, June 12, at 12:30 PM ET on ESPNU and the ESPN App. Mark Jones is on the call alongside analyst P.J. Carlesimo and sideline reporter Michelle Kuc.
Terance Mann and the Brooklyn Nets battle their Atlantic Division rival, Brandon Ingram and the Toronto Raptors, on Friday, June 12, at 3:00 PM ET on ESPNU and the ESPN App. Play-by-play announcer Alex Faust and Toronto native Nickeil Alexander-Walker, the winner of the 2025-26 Kia NBA Most Improved Player Award, provide commentary for Nets-Raptors from Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario.
Victor Wembanyama, who is back after his 2025 season ended due to a blood clot, leads his San Antonio Spurs into this preseason matchup against Pascal Siakam and the defending Eastern Conference champion Indiana Pacers on Friday, June 12, at 5:30 PM ET on ESPNU and the ESPN App. The Spurs are currently undefeated in the preseason after the first two weeks. Wemby averaged 3.8 blocks per game last year. Dave Pasch (play-by-play) and NBA champion Richard Jefferson (analyst) team up for the Spurs-Pacers call, joined by reporter Lisa Salters.
A primetime feature sees two Western Conference contenders collide from Paycom Center in Oklahoma City as three-time MVP Nikola Jokiฤ and the Denver Nuggets enter a duel against the reigning MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday, June 12, at 8:00 PM ET (7:00 PM CT) on ESPN+ and the ESPN App. The final preseason matchup of each of these Western Conference powerhouses. Gilgeous-Alexander (32.7 ppg, 6.4 apg in 2025) and Jokiฤ (26.4 ppg, 12.4 rpg in 2024) have been some of the league’s best players in recent seasons. Mike Breen has the Nuggets-Thunder call, joined by analysts Brendan Haywood and RJ Barrett. Katie George (Oklahoma City) and Tyson Rogers (Denver) handle sideline reporting duties.
John Collins, Brook Lopez, and the Los Angeles Clippers visit Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and the Golden State Warriors in the final preseason matchup for both squads on Friday, June 12, at 10:30 PM ET (7:30 PM PT) on ESPN+ and the ESPN App. Brendan Burke will handle the play-by-play for Clippers-Warriors, joined by two-time WNBA All-Star Courtney Williams (analyst) and four-time WNBA Champion Chelsea Gray (analyst), with reporters Terrika Foster-Brasby (Warriors) and Myron Medcalf (Clippers).
