The Opening Week of the 2026 NBA Summer Series regular season has concluded, and now we turn our attention to Week #2 of regular-season play! This week promises exciting matchups and marks the beginning of the third annual Emirates NBA Cup. Peacock, NBC, ABC, ESPN, and Prime Video will collectively broadcast 15 regular-season games, featuring multiple appearances from the Celtics, Bucks, Pistons, and Lakers. The following paragraphs will provide a preview of what to expect in Week #2.
A brand new week begins with a Peacock doubleheader on Monday, June 22. It is the debut edition of Peacock NBA Monday.
Cavaliers (2-1) vs. Pistons (2-1) — Monday, 7:00 PM ET on Peacock:
Central Division rivals will meet in Detroit as Jarrett Allen and the Cleveland Cavaliers (2-1) visit Cade Cunningham and the Detroit Pistons (2-1) on Monday, June 22, at 7:00 PM ET on Peacock. Two of the league’s premier guards are set to match up in primetime. Cavaliers G Donovan Mitchell has averaged 30 points per game this season. Meanwhile, first-time NBA All-Star Cade Cunningham makes things happen, averaging 23 PPG and 9 APG.
The Cavaliers-Pistons game introduces “On The Bench,” NBC Sports’ new NBA format featuring dedicated team analysts stationed on each team’s bench rather than near the play-by-play announcer. This will be visible on Peacock NBA Monday during the 2026 season.
Michael Grady will provide commentary for Cavaliers-Pistons, alongside analysts Robbie Hummel (Cavaliers Bench) and Austin Rivers (Pistons Bench).
Nuggets (1-1) vs. Timberwolves (2-1) — Monday, 9:30 PM ET on Peacock:
One of the Western Conference’s rising rivalries takes center stage on Peacock NBA Monday as three-time MVP Nikola JokiΔ and the Denver Nuggets (1-1) visit Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves (2-1) on Monday, June 22, at 9:30 PM ET on Peacock. These two clubs meet for the first time this season. Nuggets C Nikola JokiΔ hasn’t scored 30 points yet on the season. Could Monday be the night? Timberwolves G Anthony Edwards has put up 72 points over the first two games of the season.

Two veteran-led clubs try to make an early statement out in the Western Conference. In this Pacific Division game, a combined 59 All-Star selections will be represented. In fact, 11-time All-Star Stephen Curry is quickly establishing himself in Year 17 with a hot π₯ start from three-point range.
