Here is a summary of this week’s NBA Summer Series national broadcast schedule across its media portfolio:

✳ NBC/Peacock/NBCSN (4 games):
■  Monday, September 28 — Peacock NBA Monday presented by Xfinity (Timberwolves at Grizzlies | 8:00 PM ET & 76ers at Clippers | 10:30 PM ET):
On Monday, September 28, NBC Sports presents its final Peacock NBA Monday of the season, with a doubleheader on Peacock and NBCSN.

πŸ”² ⮞ Timberwolves (31-19) vs. Grizzlies (19-29) — Monday, 8:00 PM ET (7:00 PM CT) on Peacock & NBCSN:
Four-time NBA All-Star Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves (31-19) take on the Memphis Grizzlies (19-29) in a Western Conference matchup on Monday, September 28 at 8:00 PM ET/7:00 PM CT on Peacock and NBCSN.

The upcoming Timberwolves-Grizzlies matchup will showcase NBC Sports’ innovative “On the Bench” coverage, which assigns a dedicated analyst to each team. This unique approach places analysts courtside, allowing them to engage directly with the action and provide insights straight from the bench. Mark Followill (play-by-play) will lead the broadcast, joined by Robbie Hummel and Austin Rivers, who will serve as the “On the Bench” analysts. Hummel will focus on the Timberwolves, while Rivers takes on his role with the Grizzlies.

Naz Reid and the Wolves seek their fifth consecutive victory on Monday night. The Timberwolves defeated the Grizzlies, 131-114, on Sunday behind 33 points from Anthony Edwards and 16 rebounds from Rudy Gobert. Minnesota (31-19) begins play this week as the No. 5 seed in the West, meaning that Minnesota would qualify for the playoffs if the season were to end today.

Cedric Coward and the Grizzlies try to stay alive in the Western Conference postseason picture, as Memphis basically has to win out to have any hope of making the postseason field. Memphis has dropped four games in a row.

πŸ”² ⮞ 76ers (27-21) vs. Clippers (23-25) — Monday, 10:30 PM ET (7:30 PM PT) on Peacock & NBCSN:
Monday’s second matchup has 2023 Kia NBA MVP Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers (27-21) open up a four-game West Coast road trip with a road game against Derrick Jones Jr. and the Los Angeles Clippers (23-25) on Monday, September 28 at 10:30 PM ET/7:30 PM PT on Peacock and NBCSN.

NBC Sports’ Michael Grady (play-by-play), Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer Grant Hill (analyst) & Grant Liffmann (courtside reporter) will call 76ers-Clippers from Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.

Philadelphia is 11-4 in the last 15 games that their longtime center, Joel Embiid, has suited up for. Philadelphia hangs on to the No. 6 seed in the East, controlling their own destiny for a playoff berth entering the final week of the season. Joel has put up 28+ points in seven straight games, including 37 on Thursday vs. the Kings and 40 on Sunday vs. the Pelicans.

The Clippers continue to astonish everyone with their remarkable in-season turnaround. Following a 6-21 start, the Clippers have won 17 of the past 21 games, putting themselves in the Western Conference Play-In Tournament entering Week #16 of the regular season. Two-time NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard has been the fourth-leading scorer in the NBA since mid-August.

Live coverage for Monday’s doubleheader begins at 7:30 PM ET on Peacock and NBCSN as NBA Showtime heads to the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California ahead of 76ers-Clippers. Monday’s show features Jordan Cornette, Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer Chris Webber, NBA veteran Jalen Rose, Villanova legend Kris Jenkins, and four-time NBA champion Andre Iguodala. Once Monday’s games end, stay tuned for a postgame version of NBA Showtime, starting at 1:00 AM ET on Peacock and NBCSN, hosted by Cornette, Webber, Rose, Jenkins, and Iguodala.

■  Tuesday, September 29 — Coast 2 Coast Tuesday presented by KIA (Celtics at Mavericks | 8:00 PM ET & Suns at Trail Blazers | 10:30 PM ET):
On Tuesday, September 29, NBC Sports will present its last Coast 2 Coast Tuesday of the season across NBC and Peacock, with Celtics-Mavericks at 8:00 PM ET/7:00 PM CT followed by Suns-Trail Blazers at 10:30 PM ET/7:30 PM PT.

πŸ”² ⮞ Celtics (31-18) vs. Mavericks (19-31) — Tuesday, 8:00 PM ET (7:00 PM CT) on NBC & Peacock:
2024 NBA Finals MVP Jaylen Brown leads the Boston Celtics (31-18) against rookie standout Cooper Flagg and the Dallas Mavericks (19-31) in a rematch of the 2024 NBA Finals on Tuesday, September 29 at 8:00 PM ET/7:00 PM CT on NBC and Peacock.

Tuesday’s Celtics-Mavericks broadcast team includes play-by-play announcer Noah Eagle (play-by-play), Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer Reggie Miller (analyst), & Zora Stephenson (courtside reporter).

On Sunday, Brown stuffed the stat sheet, pouring in 30 points while also grabbing 13 rebounds in Boston’s 107-79 dismantling of Milwaukee in the inaugural NBA Pioneers Classic. The rebounding stat caught Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla’s eye. “That’s another way that he leads,” said Mazzulla postgame on Brown’s hustle. “Understanding what gives us the best chance to win every night, and helping set the tone for the standard that we have on both ends of the floor.”

The Mavericks have been eliminated from postseason contention. However, Tuesday will allow us another opportunity to watch 19-year-old Cooper Flagg, who continues to shine in his rookie NBA season. Flagg is fresh off a wonderful performance, albeit in a loss to the Rockets, scoring 34 points, snagging 12 rebounds, dishing out 5 assists, and blocking a shot.

πŸ”² ⮞ Suns (30-20) vs. Trail Blazers (23-27) — Tuesday, 10:30 PM ET (7:30 PM PT) on NBC & Peacock:
In the second game of the night, 2021-22 NBA All-Rookie team member Jalen Green and the Phoenix Suns (30-20) oppose Shaedon Sharpe and the Portland Trail Blazers (23-27) on Tuesday, September 29 at 10:30 PM ET/7:30 PM PT on NBC and Peacock.

Suns F Dillon Brooks has been sizzling πŸ”₯ lately, averaging 28.8 points over the last four games. Plus, Dillon is shooting 54.5% from beyond the arc during this period. Another important game for Phoenix, as the Suns continue to battle with the Lakers for the No. 6 seed and to avoid the Play-In Tournament. Phoenix has gone 6-3 over their last nine games, including two three-game win streaks sandwiched in.

The Trail Blazers’ rebuild has accelerated this season, as Portland looks for their first playoff berth since the 2021 season (which would snap a five-year playoff drought). The Blazers appear to be in good shape for the postseason, as they have a three-game lead over the Memphis Grizzlies for the No. 10 spot (the last postseason spot in the conference).

Tuesday’s Suns-Trail Blazers game will be seen nationally on NBC & Peacock, with Tamir Moore (play-by-play), five-time NBA All-Star and Cavaliers legend Brad Daugherty (analyst) & Ashley ShahAhmadi (reporter) calling the action.

Live coverage for Tuesday’s doubleheader begins at 7:30 PM ET on NBC and Peacock with a special on-site edition of NBA Showtime presented by State Farm, live from Portland’s Moda Center ahead of Suns-Trail Blazers later in the evening. NBC Sports’ Jordan Cornette (host) leads the coverage, alongside Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famers Carmelo Anthony (analyst), Tracy McGrady (analyst), & Vince Carter (analyst). After the doubleheader, Cornette and the crew will wrap up the evening on NBA Showtime, beginning at 1:00 AM ET on NBC and Peacock.
