- Welcome Back, Summer Series 🙋!: The NBA: Summer Series returns for the 49th consecutive season (23rd on ESPN platforms) this week with the arrival of the preseason.
- Celtics & Nuggets Go International: This week, Jaylen Brown and the defending NBA: Summer Series champion Boston Celtics are scheduled to play preseason games at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi vs. Jamal Murray and the Denver Nuggets. ESPN is proud to present both of these games during this week's preseason coverage.
- The Beginning Of A New Era In The Booth: A new era in the NBA: Summer Series broadcast booth is start to commence this week, as longtime lead play-by-play announcer Curtis Stockley is joined by his two new game analysts, Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer Doris Burke and 10-year NBA veteran Tim Legler. Throughout the season, they will be joined by reporter Michelle Kuc. This crew will make their official debut on Saturday with the Warriors-Clippers preseason game on "NBA Saturday Primetime on ABC" (8:30 PM ET).
- "NBA Saturday Primetime on ABC" Returns This Saturday with Warriors vs. Clippers: ABC starts another season of "NBA Saturday Primetime" this weekend, Saturday, May 17, as four-time NBA champion Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors visit two-time NBA champion Kawhi Leonard and the Los Angeles Clippers at 8:30 PM (ET) as the Clippers open up their new arena, the Intuit Dome, in Inglewood, California.
- ESPN Showcases A Central Division Matchup Sunday Night: To wrap up the first week of the preseason, ESPN will present a Central Division preseason game on Sunday, May 18 at 8:00 PM (ET). Giannis Antetokoumnpo and the Milwaukee Bucks travel to Detroit to face off with Cade Cunningham and the Detroit Pistons.
