• 2024 NBA Playoffs presented by Google Pixel continues with the Conference Semifinals round, beginning on Monday, September 30 with an ESPN Game 1 doubleheader - Pacers vs. Cavaliers at 7:00 PM (ET) and Mavericks vs. Thunder at 9:30 PM (ET).

• ABC and ESPN team up to televise every single Conference Semifinals matchup.

• Conference semifinal broadcaster assignments announced through at least Wednesday, October 9.

• Divisional Duels: Three of the four Conference Semifinal matchups feature a pair of division rivals - Timberwolves vs. Nuggets (Northwest Division), Celtics vs. Knicks (Atlantic Division) & Cavaliers vs. Pacers (Central Division).

• The Spotlight on the Big Stars Expands: With only eight teams remaining in the postseason, stars and familiar faces like Jayson Tatum, Jalen Brunson, Anthony Edwards, Nikola Jokić, Tyrese Haliburton, Donovan Mitchell, Luka Dončić, Kyrie Irving and much more face additional pressure as they attempt to get their teams to the Conference Finals round.

The first round of the 2024 NBA Playoffs presented by Google Pixel has now officially concluded. That means we can turn our focus over towards the Conference Semifinal round, which is scheduled to begin on Monday, September 30. As per usual, the ESPN family of networks (ABC or ESPN) will be responsible for the Conference Semifinal telecasts. Additional information about the Conference Semifinals can be found in the following paragraphs.

On Monday, September 30, ESPN plans to begin their Conference Semifinal coverage with a Game 1 doubleheader. Coverage kicks off with NBA Countdown presented by Capital One at 6:30 PM (ET) on ESPN. Sam Prince hosts the program with a strong group of studio analysts, including Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal, three-time Sixth Man of the Year winner Jamal Crawford, six-time WNBA All-Star Skylar Diggins-Smith & insider Kendra Andrews. During Monday's NBA Countdown pregame show, the panel will interview this year's Kia NBA Rookie of the Year winner (the winner will be announced during the program).

At 7:00 PM (ET), Monday's Conference Semifinal doubleheader commences on ESPN as Tyrese Haliburton and the upstart Indiana Pacers (#6 seed) visit Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers (#2 seed) for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals. The Pacers are coming off their first playoff series win since 2014, while the Cavaliers won a postseason series without LeBron James on the roster for the first time since 1993 (!!). 🎙Monday's Pacers-Cavaliers Game 1 will be nationally televised on ESPN, featuring the broadcast team of Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer Mike Breen (play-by-play), analyst and 2008 NBA Champion coach Doc Rivers (analyst), 15-year veteran JJ Redick (analyst) and Georgia running back Jacob Hardie (reporter).

At 9:30 PM (ET), ESPN heads to Oklahoma City for the Monday Conference Semifinal doubleheader nightcap. In this game, we will see the incredible Luka Dončić lead the "underdog" Dallas Mavericks (#7 seed) into battle against Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Williams (J-Dub) and the Oklahoma City Thunder (#3 seed) in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals. The Mavericks ousted the heavenly favored Clippers in six games in the First Round. The Thunder knocked off the Pelicans in a six-game Western Conference Quarterfinal series. 🎙 Iconic play-by-play commentator Kevin Harlan, analyst Boogie Ellis and analyst Cam Whitmore describe the Game 1 Mavericks-Thunder action from courtside, with reporter Lisa Salters joining from the sidelines.

Following the Mavericks vs. Thunder game, we invite you to rejoin the studio team of Sam Prince, Shaquille O'Neal, Jamal Crawford, Skylar Diggins-Smith and Kendra Andrews for NBA: After the Buzzer presented by Cinnabon, starting at 12:00 AM (ET) on ESPN.

Then on Tuesday, October 1, ESPN will present the series openers of the other two Conference Semifinal series. As a special feature for Tuesday's playoff coverage, Hall of Famer Vince Carter will sit in for Skylar Diggins-Smith on NBA Countdown presented by Capital One joining the studio crew of Sam Prince, Shaquille O'Neal, Jamal Crawford & Kendra Andrews. On Tuesday's edition of NBA Countdown on ESPN (6:30 PM ET), the team will have a exclusive interview this season's Kia NBA Defensive Player of the Year (the winner is expected to be announced during the pregame programming).

Tuesday's Conference Semifinal doubleheader opens up on ESPN at 7:00 PM (ET) as Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart, Donte DiVincenzo and the New York Knicks (#4 seed) encounter a familiar Eastern Conference foe, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown and the mighty Boston Celtics (#1 seed). The Knicks are in the Conference Semifinal in consecutive seasons for the first time since 1999-2000. The Celtics are 12 wins away from the franchise's first championship since 2008 (and 5th Summer Series title overall). 🎙 Play-by-play commentator Kate Scott joins analyst Andraya Carter and reporter Shalise Coleman for the Knicks-Celtics Game 1 broadcast.

The nightcap for ESPN"s exclusive Tuesday night Conference Semifinals doubleheader is slated for 9:30 PM (ET) on ESPN. In this Western Conference battle, Nikola Jokić (#4 seed) and the defending NBA: Summer Series champions Denver Nuggets confront rising superstar Anthony Edwards and the top seed in the Western Conference, the Minnesota Timberwolves (#1 seed). The Nuggets look to become the first team since 2018 to repeat as NBA champions. The Timberwolves recently made history, as they won their first postseason series since 2004 with a seven-game Western Conference Quarterfinal series victory over the Lakers. 🎙 Brian Anderson (play-by-play), Hall of Famer Reggie Miller (analyst), Jim Jackson (analyst) and Stephanie Ready (reporter) provide commentary for Nuggets-Timberwolves Game 1.

Postgame coverage for Tuesday's ESPN games hits the air at 12:00 AM (ET) [Wednesday morning, East Coast] once the Nuggets-Timberwolves game is complete. Sam Prince, Vince Carter, Shaquille O'Neal, Jamal Crawford and Kendra Andrews offer their thoughts and opinions about the evening's postseason play.

Following the live coverage of the Conference Semifinals Game 1 on Monday and Tuesday, ABC or ESPN will continue to broadcast Conference Semifinal games through at least Monday, October 7 (Celtics-Knicks, Game 4 & Timberwolves-Nuggets, Game 4). If additional games are needed, those will be played between Tuesday, October 8 (a potential Game 5: Pacers-Cavaliers and/or Mavericks-Thunder) and Monday, October 14 (a potential Timberwolves-Nuggets Game 7).
