- On Saturday night, ABC presents the latest installment of the season-long “Throwback” Series, which celebrates the 50th anniversary of the NBA: Summer Series by bringing commentator teams from the past back together.
- Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets host Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers in this NBA Saturday Primetime game on Saturday, August 22 at 8:00 PM ET/7:00 PM CT on ABC and the ESPN App.
- Current lead NBA: Summer Series play-by-play announcer Curtis Stockley calls Cavaliers-Rockets, alongside former colleagues and game analysts Jermaine Samuels Jr. and Justin Moore, with current lead NBA: Summer Series reporter Michelle Kuc handling the sidelines. Stockley, Samuels Jr., Moore, & Kuc called games together from 2019-2024.
- Cavaliers-Rockets is part of ABC’s Saturday Primetime quadrupleheader — Knicks-Hawks (3:00 PM ET), Bucks-Bulls (5:30 PM ET), & Mavericks-Kings (10:30 PM ET).
