Hi, everybody! Welcome to Week #2 of the NFL on CBS: Field Pass! This week, CBS Sports continues its 2026 regular-season coverage with its first singleheader. That means CBS stations will show a game at either 1:00 PM ET or 4:05 PM ET. Check your local listings or the bottom of this article (and every article) for additional details.
Anyway, CBS will televise six games regionally this Sunday, September 20. To kick things off at 1:00 PM ET, we have Steelers-Patriots, Bengals-Texans, Saints-Ravens, and Browns-Buccaneers. Later in the afternoon, 4:05 PM ET regional coverage includes Jaguars-Broncos and Raiders-Chargers. We have divisional clashes, AFC vs. NFC matchups, and star players like Lamar Jackson, Ja’Marr Chase, Christian Gonzalez, T.J. Watt, Derwin James Jr., Maxx Crosby, Baker Mayfield, and much more. Something for everyone.

On Sunday, make sure you tune in to “The NFL Today presented by Jeep,” a one-hour pregame show previewing the upcoming football action, at 12:00 PM ET/11:00 AM CT, live on CBS and Paramount+.
Veteran host James Brown anchors the program, joined by Hall of Fame head coach Bill Cowher and 11-year NFL veteran Nate Burleson. This season, the program welcomes two new analysts — Super Bowl champion Russell Wilson and former NFL offensive lineman Kyle Long. “The NFL Today” will feature highlights, analysis, feature stories, predictions, interviews, and the latest information from around the league.
🞺 Singleheader | Early Game Only (1:00 PM ET); Steelers-Patriots, Bengals-Texans, Saints-Ravens & Browns-Buccaneers:
Many of you will receive an early afternoon contest, beginning at 1:00 PM ET on CBS and Paramount+. Four games will comprise this window. Jaylen Warren and the Pittsburgh Steelers hit the road to face Romeo Doubs and the New England Patriots live from Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Other 1:00 PM ET offerings include Bengals-Texans, Saints-Ravens, and Browns-Buccaneers. Below are game previews for each 1:00 PM ET CBS game on Sunday afternoon.
► Steelers (1-0) vs. Patriots (0-1) — Sunday, 1:00 PM ET on CBS & Paramount+:
Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers (1-0) battle DeMario Douglas and the reigning AFC champion New England Patriots (0-1) on Sunday, September 20 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS and Paramount+.
Jim Nantz (play-by-play) will call Steelers-Patriots alongside three-time Defensive Player of the Year JJ Watt (analyst) and Tracy Wolfson (sideline reporter).
The Steelers are coming off a 20-13 victory over the Falcons last week. Pittsburgh begins life under head coach Mike McCarthy, taking over for Mike Tomlin after his 19 seasons as the head coach. Steelers LB T.J. Watt had a pick-six in the Week 1 win over the Falcons at Acrisure Stadium. The Steelers have recorded 63 forced fumbles on defense since 2022, the most in the NFL during that span.
On Opening Night, the Patriots lost 13-10 to the Seahawks in a rematch of Super Bowl LX. Patriots QB Drake Maye went 23-for-33 for 178 yards, 1 TD, and 3 INT’s in Week 1 vs. the Seahawks on the road. Patriots LB Dre’Mont Jones picked up a sack against the Seahawks last week. Patriots CB Christian Gonzalez, who just signed a massive contract extension, looks to make his second consecutive Pro Bowl in 2026. Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson rushed for 51 yards on 18 carries last week vs. the Seahawks.
► Bengals (1-0) vs. Texans (0-1) — Sunday, 1:00 PM ET (12:00 PM CT) on CBS & Paramount+:
David Montgomery and the Houston Texans (0-1) play host to Dexter Lawrence and the Cincinnati Bengals (1-0) on Sunday, September 20 at 1:00 PM ET/12:00 PM CT on CBS and Paramount+.
Sunday’s Bengals-Texans game can be seen on CBS, with Kevin Harlan (play-by-play), Trent Green (analyst) & Melanie Collins (reporter) describing the action from Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas.
The Bengals opened the 2026 season with a 33-27 win over the Buccaneers at home last Sunday. The Bengals had four takeaways last week. Cincinnati has a chance to begin 2-0 for the first time in consecutive years since 2014-15. Bengals QB Joe Burrow completed 71.4% of his passes last week for 254 yards. Bengals K Evan McPherson converted all four of his field-goal attempts in Week 1 vs. the Buccaneers, including attempts from 55 and 58 yards in the second half.
The Texans fell short in a Week 1 heartbreaker, dropping that one 36-31 to the visiting Bills. Texans QB C.J. Stroud completed 26 of 38 passes (68.4%) for 274 yards and 2 touchdowns in Week 1 vs. the Bills. Texans RB David Montgomery scored two rushing touchdowns in the season opener last week. Texans DE Jadeveon Clowney, in his return to the team, recorded his 30th sack with the franchise last week against the Bills. After hitting a 58-yard field goal last week, Texans K Ka’imi Fairbairn now has 52 kicks made from 50+ yards, the most since he entered the league in 2017.
► Saints (0-1) vs. Ravens (1-0) — Sunday, 1:00 PM ET on CBS & Paramount+:
Travis Etienne Jr. and the New Orleans Saints (0-1) clash with Lamar Jackson and the host Baltimore Ravens (1-0) on Sunday, September 20 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS & Paramount+.
Spero Dedes will provide play-by-play commentary for Saints-Ravens, joined by analyst and former NFL safety Adam Archuleta. Aditi Kinkhabwala serves as the sideline reporter.
The Saints are fresh off a tough loss to the Lions last week, falling 31-30 in overtime despite trailing 21-0 at one point. Saints QB Tyler Shough went 35-for-56 for a career-high 410 yards, 3 TD’s and 2 INT’s in the Week 1 loss to the Lions. In his Saints debut, Saints RB Travis Etienne Jr. rushed nine times for 46 yards, albeit in a Week 1 loss. Saints S Justin Reid finished last week’s contest in Detroit with eight tackles. Saints LB Kaden Ellis played his 100th career game in last week’s loss against the Lions.
The Ravens started the season strong, with a dominant 41-23 win at Indianapolis in Week 1, and Baltimore tries to keep the good vibes going here in Week 2 with this home game vs. the Saints. Ravens QB Lamar Jackson passed for 324 yards during Baltimore’s Week 1 win versus the Colts. In Week 1, Ravens LB Roquan Smith made plays, recording a team-high 11 tackles and an interception against the Colts. Ravens QB Lamar Jackson has a. 893 winning percentage and 62 touchdowns in 28 all-time games vs. the NFC (25-3 record). Ravens RB Derrick Henry rushed for 144 yards and scored three touchdowns in Week 1 against the Colts.
► Browns (0-1) vs. Buccaneers (0-1) — Sunday, 1:00 PM ET on CBS & Paramount+:
In a game featuring a pair of 0-1 clubs, Tyson Campbell and the Cleveland Browns (0-1) will face Bucky Irving and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (0-1) on Sunday, September 20 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS & Paramount+.
CBS Sports’ Tom McCarthy (play-by-play), Super Bowl champion Robert Turbin (analyst) & Tiffany Blackmon (field reporter) will call Browns-Buccaneers from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.
Last week, the Browns were trounced by the Jaguars in Jacksonville, 34-10. The Browns find themselves playing another road game in Florida this week. The Browns are 7-4 all-time vs. the Buccaneers, including a 23-17 overtime win for Cleveland in their last meeting. In Week 1, Browns WR Denzel Boston (rookie) recorded two catches for 59 yards, including a 46-yard tuddy. Also in Week 1, Browns DT Mason Graham recorded a sack. Browns (and former Rams) DE Jared Verse had a great performance vs. the Buccaneers last season while with the Rams, recording four tackles, two sacks, two tackles for loss, and one fumble recovery.
In Week #1, the Buccaneers were clipped by the Bengals 33-27 at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati. As the Buccaneers prepare for their home opener, they seek their first W of the 2026 campaign. Buccaneers QB Baker Mayfield faces the team he started his NFL career with, as he was drafted No. 1 overall by the Browns in the 2018 NFL Draft out of Oklahoma. Tampa Bay opens a three-game homestand at Raymond James Stadium on Sunday vs. the Browns. Last week, Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving matched his career high with seven receptions. Buccaneers LB Josiah Trotter (rookie) became the first player in NFL history to record a pick-six and a sack in his NFL debut last week against the Bengals.

For those of you set to receive late-game-only coverage, live coverage begins Sunday at 4:00 PM ET, with kickoff at 4:05 PM ET, on CBS & Paramount+. Travis Hunter and the Jacksonville Jaguars square off against Pat Surtain II and the Denver Broncos. Ashton Jeanty and the Las Vegas Raiders face Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers in AFC West play. Game capsules for both matchups will be provided in the following matchups.
► Jaguars (1-0) vs. Broncos (0-1) — Sunday, 4:05 PM ET (2:05 PM MT) on CBS & Paramount+:
Jaylen Waddle and the Denver Broncos (0-1) host Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars (1-0) on Sunday, September 20 at 4:05 PM ET/2:05 PM MT on CBS and Paramount+. Jacksonville comes into Week 2 after a 34-10 thrashing of the Browns, while Denver tries to bounce back from an embarrassing 31-10 defeat to the Chiefs in Week 1.
Ian Eagle (play-by-play), former NFL offensive lineman Ross Tucker (analyst) & Evan Washburn (reporter) will have the Jaguars-Broncos television call for CBS on Sunday.
► Raiders (1-0) vs. Chargers (0-1) — Sunday, 4:05 PM ET (1:05 PM PT) on CBS & Paramount+:
An AFC West showdown awaits us at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, as Jeremy Chinn and the Las Vegas Raiders (1-0) face Daiyan Henley and the Los Angeles Chargers (0-1) on Sunday, September 20 at 4:05 PM ET/1:05 PM PT on CBS and Paramount+.
Sunday’s Raiders-Chargers game will be seen regionally on CBS, with play-by-play announcer Andrew Catalon, analyst and two-time Super Bowl champion Logan Ryan & sideline reporter AJ Ross on the call.
Last week, the Raiders started the season with a 27-13 win over the Dolphins. Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty recorded two receiving touchdowns in the victory. Raiders RB Dylan Laube returned two kickoffs last week vs. the Dolphins, helping Las Vegas lead the league after Week 1 in kickoff return average of 47.5. Raiders DE Maxx Crosby had 1.5 sacks in Week 1 vs. Miami. In his Raiders debut, Raiders QB Kirk Cousins went 21-for-30 for 160 yards & 3 TD’s.
To many’s surprise, the Chargers lost 26-14 to the Cardinals in Week 1. Now, LA returns home hoping for their first win in their second straight home game to start the 2026 season. Chargers QB Justin Herbert went 17-for-27 in Week 1, accounting for one touchdown and one interception. Chargers WR Ladd McConkey caught five passes for 82 yards and a score in the opening game. The Chargers are 17-6 in their last 23 home dates vs. the Raiders. Chargers S Derwin James Jr. is approaching 700 career tackles.
