This week's MLB on Fox: On Deck highlights include:
  • Fox continues their 2025 MLB regular season coverage with a "Fox Saturday Baseball" doubleheader on Saturday, August 16 — featuring Pirates at Cubs on FS1 (2:00 PM ET) & Yankees at Cardinals / Tigers at Twins on Fox (7:00 PM ET).
  • Division Showdown: Pirates, Cubs Duel In The Windy City: Andrew McCutchen and the Pittsburgh Pirates visit Pete Crow-Armstrong and the Chicago Cubs in a National League Central matchup from Wrigley Field in Chicago, Illinois, on Saturday, August 16 at 2:00 PM (ET) on FS1.
  • Yankees Drop By "The Gateway To The West" (St. Louis): Jazz Chisholm Jr. leads the New York Yankees into an interleague matchup against Brendan Donovan and the St. Louis Cardinals from Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri, on Saturday, August 16, at 7:00 PM (ET) on Fox.
  • Competing Forces: Tigers vs. Twins in AL Central Matchup: An American League Central rivalry takes center stage on "Baseball Night in America" as Riley Greene and the AL Central-leading Detroit Tigers take on Byron Buxton and the Minnesota Twins from Target Field in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on Saturday, August 16 at 7:00 PM (ET) on Fox.

The summer sizzle resumes this weekend as our friends over at Fox Sports present a "Fox Saturday Baseball" doubleheader on Saturday, August 16. With roughly a month and a half left in the regular season, we get an opportunity to see teams actively competing for postseason berths. Some of these clubs will be playing on Fox this week — including the New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals, Detroit Tigers, & the Chicago Cubs.

FS1 gets the ball rolling on this weekend's coverage at 2:00 PM (ET) on Saturday afternoon when the Pittsburgh Pirates square off against the Chicago Cubs in a National League Central duel. Later in primetime, Fox steps in to present a pair of regionalized MLB games to various affiliates across the country, beginning at 7:00 PM (ET). This Saturday, most viewers will see the Yankees vs. Cardinals matchup, while others will observe the Tigers vs. Twins matchup. Which games will you be getting this Saturday across Fox and FS1, and who's set to broadcast the games? Continue reading to find out the answers to your questions.

Let's begin our rundown of Saturday MLB games at Wrigley Field in Chicago, as Tommy Pham and the Pittsburgh Pirates battle Miguel Amaya and the Chicago Cubs in a divisional confrontation on Saturday, August 16, at 2:00 PM (ET) on FS1. The Cubs have owned the Pirates in regular-season play thus far in 2025, with Chicago claiming victory in five of their seven contests. Can Chicago get back on track vs. a divisional foe that is a non-factor in the NL Central face?. Pittsburgh has stumbled recently, dropping four straight matchups. The Cubs have been solid all season long. Now, Chicago looks to keep pace with Milwaukee for the NL Central lead and maintain their hold on one of the NL Wild Card spots. Can Pittsburgh offer a monkey wrench for Chicago in this weekend's set?. Keep an eye out for Cubs right fielder Seiya Suzuki. The 30-year-old Japanese native has been a major contributor to the Cubs' offense in 2025, leading his team in home runs (27) and runs batted in (85). Suzuki is seeing his first-ever MLB season with at least 100 runs batted in. If Suzuki does his job and produces a high clip, he should reach that milestone before the season's end. 🎙 Connor Onion (play-by-play) and Tom Verducci (analyst) will provide commentary for Saturday's FS1 Pirates vs. Cubs broadcast.

Two historic franchises share the field at Busch Stadium in St. Louis as Giancarlo Stanton and the New York Yankees play Masyn Winn and the St. Louis Cardinals on Saturday, August 16, at 7:00 PM (ET) on Fox. Yes, we have an interleague matchup that holds a lot of historic significance. Combined, these franchises have won 38 World Series titles ― Yankees 27, Cardinals 11. The Yankees & Cardinals play head-to-head for the first time this season. Last year, St. Louis captured a series win (2-1) at Yankee Stadium in a series played between Aug. 30 and Sept. 1. The storyline in this game? Yankees RF Aaron Judge, otherwise known as "The Captain". When you examine Judge's numbers, it is not hard to see why Aaron Judge is a respected member of this Yankees squad. He ranks first in terms of batting average (.337), home runs (38), runs batted in (88), on-base percentage (.448), & hits (134). Basically, Aaron is the tone setter for the whole club. Recently, Judge had an elbow injury that caused him to miss some time. However, Aaron was activated from the 10-day IL on August 5 and has been back ever since. If the Yankees plan to make it deep into October, they need Aaron Judge to keep doing what he has been doing throughout the season. 🎙 In the booth, play-by-play commentator Adam Amin describes Yankees vs. Cardinals alongside a pair of World Series champions, Adam Wainwright and AJ Pierzynski. Emmy-Award winning reporter Ken Rosenthal provides updates from the field.

We are taking a trip inside the American League Central division, as a pair of clubs from that division receive national attention on "Baseball Night in America" when Trey Sweeney and the Detroit Tigers face Royce Lewis and the Minnesota Twins on Saturday, August 16, at 7:00 PM (ET) on Fox. The Tigers & Twins are set to compete against each other for the final time in the 2025 regular season, with Detroit holding a slight 5-4 edge in nine matchups before this weekend series from Minneapolis. Folks, this is a great chance to watch a franchise rebirth in front of our eyes. The Tigers, of course, are fresh off their first postseason berth since 2014 last season. And now, Detroit eyes back-to-back postseason appearances for the first time since 2013-14. The Tigers rank 3rd in pitching wins across Major League Baseball, trailing only the Blue Jays & the Brewers. Two of their starting pitchers, Tarik Skubal and Casey Mize, have 11 wins apiece. The Twins have hit 140 home runs this year, placing them 13th in MLB (the middle of the pack). Twins CF Byron Buxton paces his club with 24 big flies so far in 2025. Try to pay attention to Tigers left fielder Riley Greene during Saturday's game. The 24-year-old outfielder has 123 hits so far this year, with 90 of them (73%) against American League opponents. Minnesota MUST find a way to neutralize the power that this young man possesses. 🎙 Kenny Albert (play-by-play) and the Hall of Famer John Smoltz (analyst) will have the call of Tigers vs. Twins live from Target Field in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
