Highlights:
  • Fox Sports continues its weekly MLB regular season game coverage with a Saturday Doubleheader on April 11 across FS1 and Fox.
  • Two teams that qualified for the 2025 MLB Postseasonthe Red Sox and Philliesare scheduled to appear on Saturday across the Fox Sports networks.
  • A pair of National League clubs will collide over on FS1 as Ketel Marte and the Arizona Diamondbacks come into Philadelphia for a matchup against Bryce Harper and the Philadelphia Phillies at 1:00 PM ET.
  • Two teams that have plenty of history and success face off as Roman Anthony and the Boston Red Sox visit Victor Scott II and the St. Louis Cardinals at 7:00 PM ET Saturday night on Fox.
  • We are blessed with early-season interleague baseball from the great city of Baltimore as Matt Chapman and the San Francisco Giants travel to the East Coast to face off against Pete Alonso and the Baltimore Orioles at 7:00 PM ET Saturday night on Fox.

2024 MLB All-Star Jarren Duran, rising star Roman Anthony, & 2016 World Series champion Willson Contreras lead the Boston Red Sox (3-8) into a Saturday night clash versus 2025 NL Silver Slugger recipient Alec Burelson, rookie JJ Weatherholt and the St. Louis Cardinals (6-5) on Saturday, April 11 at 7:00 PM ET on Fox, highlighting Fox Sports' three-game lineup for this upcoming week.

Diamondbacks vs. Phillies — Saturday 1:00 PM ET on FS1
Fox Sports' Major League Baseball game schedule for this weekend kicks off on Saturday, April 11, over on FS1.

2025 National League Silver Slugger award winner Geraldo Perdomo and the Arizona Diamondbacks (5-6) participate in a pivotal early-season National League game against rookie sensation Justin Crawford and the Philadelphia Phillies (6-5) on Saturday, April 11, at 1:00 PM ET on FS1, live from Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Connor Onion (play-by-play) and 1992 National League Rookie of the Year Eric Karros (analyst) will call Diamondbacks-Phillies.

Currently, the Diamondbacks are playing Francisco Lindor and the New York Mets in a three-game series from Citi Field. This marks the first stop of a nine-game, three-city East Coast swing for Corbin Carroll and the D-Backs. Unfortunately, the series got off to a bad start for Arizona, losing Tuesday's series opener to the Mets, 4-3, in 10 innings, thanks to Ronny Mauricio's game-winning base hit to drive in Francisco Lindor for the game-winning run.

As for Philadelphia, they are wrapping up their six-game early-season road tour through Denver and San Francisco. Through the first five games, Philadelphia has racked up a 3-2 record (2-1 vs. Colorado, 1-1 vs. San Francisco), with the series finale against the Giants scheduled for Wednesday, April 9, at 3:45 PM ET (12:45 PM ET local in San Francisco). On Tuesday night, the Phillies were blanked 6-0 as they failed to score a single run. Phillies DH Kyle Schwarber has three long balls after 11 contests, as Schwarbs tries to pick up right where he left off in 2025.

"Baseball Night in America": Red Sox vs. Cardinals or Giants vs. Orioles — Saturday 7:00 PM ET on Fox
"Baseball Night in America," Fox's flagship weekly Major League Baseball program, returns to the airwaves on Saturday, April 11, featuring two regional matchups starting at 7:00 PM ET on the Fox broadcast network. This week, viewers can anticipate the Boston Red Sox competing against the St. Louis Cardinals, or the San Francisco Giants facing off against the Baltimore Orioles. To find out which matchup your local Fox station will be broadcasting on Saturday night, please refer to the listings at the bottom of this article or check your local listings.

The St. Louis Cardinals, who hold the second most World Series championships with 11 titles, and the Boston Red Sox, who rank third with 9 titles, will face off in a highly anticipated matchup from Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Missouri. Masyn Winn and the St. Louis Cardinals (6-5) will host Ceddanne Rafaela and the Boston Red Sox (3-8) on Saturday, April 11, at 7:00 PM ET, airing on Fox. Adam Amin (play-by-play), Hall of Famer John Smoltz (analyst), and two-time Emmy Award winner Ken Rosenthal (reporter) will call Red Sox-Cardinals.

Recently, the Red Sox achieved a narrow victory over the Milwaukee Brewers, winning 3-2 on Tuesday night at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts. In that game, shortstop Trevor Story contributed significantly by driving in two of Boston's three runs. Additionally, Red Sox closer Aroldis Chapman secured his third save of the season. However, this win has been one of the few successes for the Red Sox this year. As of April 8, the Red Sox hold the worst record in the American League, languishing with a disappointing 3-8 record.

As for the Cardinals, they are winding down a six-game road trip through Detroit and Washington DC. On Tuesday night, the Cardinals defeated the Nationals, 7-6, in 10 innings. One of the highlights from this game is that Cardinals right fielder Jordan Walker hit his third home run in a four-game stretch, which could be a preview of the type of season that Walker might have at the plate. The Cardinals trail the Reds (8-3) and Brewers (8-3) for first place in the National League Central division.

Luis Arraez and the San Francisco Giants (4-8) head to Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore, Maryland to play Gunnar Henderson and the Baltimore Orioles (5-6) on Saturday, April 11, at 7:00 PM ET on Fox. Kevin Kugler (play-by-play) & 2005 World Series champion AJ Pierzynski (analyst) will call Giants-Orioles.

The Giants are playing the second portion of their six-game homestand following a weekend series against the Mets, with San Francisco getting swept in the weekend set. In the Giants' most recent contest, they were able to pummel the visiting Philadelphia Phillies, 6-0 on Tuesday night, behind an outstanding performance from pitcher Robbie Ray. Giants catcher Daniel Susac had a busy evening, getting three hits on the night to aid San Francisco's cause even more. The Giants sit in last place in the National League West with a 4-8 record.

The Orioles are on a winning streak, my friends! As of April 8, the Orioles have won two straight as they get closer to the .500 mark on this young baseball season. This revamped Baltimore ball club is fresh off Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Chicago White Sox in Chicago. Baltimore's effort was led by designated hitter Gunnar Henderson, who smacked a two-home run in the eighth inning to provide the Orioles with a 4-2 lead, which turned out to be the final score of the game. The Orioles find themselves tied for second place in the AL East, alongside Junior Caminero and the Tampa Bay Rays, who also happen to be 5-6 at this stage of the season.

Highlights:
  • Fox’s 2026 Major League Baseball regular season coverage continues with a day/night doubleheader on Saturday, April 4, on Fox and FS1.
  • Several teams that appeared in the 2025 MLB Postseason play this weekend across Fox Sports platforms, including the Chicago Cubs, Cleveland Guardians, & the Milwaukee Brewers.
  • Christian Yelich and the Milwaukee Brewers play Maikel Garcia and the Kansas City Royals at 2:00 PM ET (1:00 PM CT) on FS1.
  • The teams that battled for the 2016 World Series championship duke it out in primetime when Pete Crow-Armstrong and the Chicago Cubs clash with Steven Kwan and the Cleveland Guardians at 7:00 PM ET on Fox.
  • Ozzie Albies and the Atlanta Braves pay a visit to the desert to compete against Ketel Marte and the Arizona Diamondbacks at 7:00 PM ET (4:00 PM MST) on Fox.

Seven-time MLB All-Star José Ramírez leads the AL Central-leading Cleveland Guardians (3-2) into a primetime showdown against Dansby Swanson and the Chicago Cubs (2-2) on Saturday, April 4 at 7:00 PM ET on Fox, highlighting Fox’s three-game lineup for this upcoming Saturday. Adam Amin (play-by-play), MLB Hall of Famer John Smoltz (analyst), and Ken Rosenthal (reporter) will call the Cubs-Guardians.

Fox Sports’ 2026 MLB regular season schedule continues with two games on Saturday, April 4. The Brewers play the Royals in Game 1 of a day/night doubleheader at 2:00 PM ET on FS1, followed by Braves vs. Diamondbacks at 7:00 PM ET on Fox.

Brewers vs. Royals — Saturday, 2:00 PM ET on FS1
FS1 gets the honor of leading off Fox’s MLB coverage this Saturday afternoon as Brice Turang and the Milwaukee Brewers (3-1) travel to Kansas City for an interleague matchup against Bobby Witt Jr. and the Kansas City Royals (2-2) on Saturday, April 4 at 2:00 PM ET (1:00 PM CT) on FS1. Connor Onion (play-by-play) teams up with Dontrelle Willis (analyst) to call Brewers-Royals. Keep in mind that this game is starting two hours earlier than usual because Saturday’s 2 PM ET game is the first of a Saturday day/night doubleheader due to Friday’s rainout.

William Contreras and the Brew Crew are currently engaged in a six-game homestand to kick off the 2026 season. Recently, Milwaukee successfully swept the Chicago White Sox in a three-game weekend series, starting the new season on a positive note. Brewers shortstop Joey Ortiz has made an impression early, entering this week’s games with a remarkable .455 batting average and driving in three runs thus far this season. As of March 31, the Brewers share first place in the National League Central with the Cincinnati Reds.

After facing two losses against Atlanta at the beginning of 2026, Kansas City has bounced back with two consecutive victories — a 4-1 win over the Braves on Sunday and a 3-1 win over the Twins during their home opener on Monday. The Royals aim to establish a postseason strategy following their absence from the playoffs last year. Three players — Maikel Garcia, Kyle Isbel, and Bobby Witt Jr. — currently lead the team in hits, each with four. The Royals stand in a tie with the Tigers (2-2) for second place in the AL Central, trailing Brayan Rocchio and the Cleveland Guardians (3-2) by just half a game.

Baseball Night in America: Braves vs. Diamondbacks — Saturday, 7:00 PM ET on Fox
Baseball Night in America,” Fox Sports’ popular weekly Saturday MLB primetime series, returns on Saturday, April 4. The entire country will watch a National League matchup as Matt Olson and the Atlanta Braves visit Corbin Carroll and the Arizona Diamondbacks. To find out which game will air in your local area this Saturday, be sure to check your local listings or refer to this article for more details. Cubs-Guardians was originally scheduled for Saturday night but was postponed due to inclement weather.

The Cubs (2-2) are in the midst of a six-game home stretch to kick off 2026 regular-season play. This past weekend, the Cubs dropped two out of three in a series against CJ Abrams and the Washington Nationals. Cubs LF Ian Happ has already homered three times over the first few games of this 2026 season. Cubs P Matthew Boyd has collected seven punch-outs thus far. The Cubs are tied for second place in the tightly packed NL Central, alongside the St. Louis Cardinals (2-2).

The Guardians (3-2) continue their seven-game season-opening West Coast road trip, with stops in Seattle and Los Angeles. The Guardians faced Cal Raleigh and the defending AL West champion Seattle Mariners over at T-Mobile Park in the opening series, splitting the four-game series (with Cleveland wins on Thursday and Saturday). On Monday night, the Guardians defeated the Dodgers, 4-2, handing the defending two-time World Series champion their first loss of the season. Guardians RF Chase DeLauter has been smacking home runs with great regularity, already having four round trippers to his name when the season was less than a week old.

National League foes get together at Chase Field in Phoenix, as Michael Harris II and the Atlanta Braves (3-1) oppose Corbin Carroll and the Arizona Diamondbacks (1-3) on Saturday, April 4 at 7:00 PM ET on Fox. Brandon Gaudin (play-by-play) and Tom Verducci (analyst) will call Braves-Diamondbacks.

Following a series win over the Kansas City Royals and this early-week series against the Athletics, the Braves (3-1) are set to travel to the West Coast for an early-season six-game road trip, with three games in Phoenix vs. the Diamondbacks and three games in Anaheim against the Angels. On Monday, the Braves blanked the Athletics, 4-0, thanks to Mauricio Dubón’s three timely hits (adding 3 runs batted in the process). Braves 2B Ozzie Albies leads the team with a batting average of .333 through four games. Atlanta shares a first-place lead in the NL East, alongside the Mets (3-1), Nationals (3-1), & Marlins (3-1).

The Arizona Diamondbacks (1-3) are back at the friendly confines of Chase Field in Phoenix, following a series sweep at the hands of their arch-rival, the Los Angeles Dodgers, to start the 2026 campaign. Saturday’s game vs. Atlanta is one of the seven consecutive home games the D’Backs have during this homestand. The Diamondbacks defeated the Tigers, 9-6, on Monday thanks to Corbin Carroll’s first homer of the season. Arizona is two games behind the Dodgers for first place in the NL West. Currently, the Diamondbacks are tied for first place in the NL West division, alongside the Giants (1-3), Padres (1-3) & Rockies (1-3).

MLB on Fox: On Deck | Fox begins 31st MLB season with the season premiere of "Baseball Night in America" on Saturday, March 28 at 7:00 PM ET, headlined by interleague play from San Francisco's Oracle Park: Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees clash with Rafael Devers and the San Francisco Giants (or Royals-Braves)

| ⏵ Tuesday, March 24, 2026

Highlights for this week's MLB on Fox: On Deck article:
  • It is so GREAT to have baseball back! Welcome to Year #3 of our ongoing MLB on Fox: On Deck series!
  • Fox Sports returns to the MLB business with a Saturday doubleheader during Opening Week! FS1 leads off the day with an American League matchup at 4:00 PM ET as Byron Buxton and the Minnesota Twins visit Jackson Holliday and the Baltimore Orioles.
  • Following Saturday's Twins-Orioles game on FS1, "Baseball Night in America" returns to Fox's Saturday primetime lineup this Saturday, March 28, with a pair of games taking place in primetime beginning at 7:00 PM ET/4:00 PM PT on Fox.
  • Interleague play grabs the Saturday spotlight as Trent Grisham and the New York Yankees travel to the West Coast to face Willy Adames and the San Francisco Giants on Saturday, March 28, at 7:15 PM ET on Fox.
  • Two teams that missed the postseason party in 2025 look to gain entry into the October playoff field as Maikel Garcia and the Kansas City Royals battle Ozzie Albies and the Atlanta Braves on Saturday, March 28, at 7:15 PM ET on Fox.

Welcome back, guys 🙋! The 2026 MLB Season is upon us, and I can't be more thrilled to start another season with you all! I hope you enjoyed the baseball offseason. With Opening Day set for this week, now is the time to begin our third season of weekly "MLB on Fox: On Deck" articles. For those of you who need a quick refresher, I will publish a brand new article each week during the MLB regular season to preview Fox's weekly offerings, along with a regionalization map to help you find out which game Fox will be airing in your local market every Saturday of the season.

I want to highlight that Fox will air games almost every Saturday in primetime this season! No more Saturday afternoon games on the Fox broadcast network. Get ready for "Baseball Night in America" for an entire season! With that introduction out of the way, let's dive into our first publication of the brand new season.

Fox Sports' 31st season of MLB coverage opens up on Saturday, March 28 with a doubleheader of live game action spread across FS1 and the Fox broadcast network. We will get you set for the first of many MLB on Fox Saturdays right now!

FS1, now in its 13th season as a MLB broadcaster, gets us going on Saturday with an American League duel from Oriole Park at Camden Yards, as Byron Buxton and the Minnesota Twins battle Orioles newcomer Pete Alonso and the Baltimore Orioles at 4:00 PM ET. The Twins finished the 2025 season with a subpar 70-92 season. The Orioles wrapped up the 2025 season with a 75-87 record. Both teams look to show signs of noticeable improvement this season. Additionally, both Minnesota & Baltimore didn't qualify for the 2025 MLB Postseason. Connor Onion (play-by-play) and Tom Verducci (analyst) call Twins-Orioles.

Then in primetime, Fox's "Baseball Night in America" program takes center stage for the first time this season. On Saturday, at 7:00 PM ET on Fox, viewers can watch one of two games: Yankees vs. Giants or Royals vs. Braves. You can either check your local listings or the bottom of this article to determine which matchup you will be getting come Saturday evening.

Most of the country will see two clubs that have plenty of history attached to them as Jazz Chisholm Jr. and the New York Yankees take on Jung Hoo Lee and the San Francisco Giants on Saturday, March 28 at 7:15 PM ET on Fox. Last year, the Yankees finished with a impressive 94-68 record. However, the Yankees were sent packing by Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and the reigning American League champion Toronto Blue Jays in the American League Division Series. It is the dawning of a new era in San Francisco, as first-year manager Tony Vitello begins his tenure with a Giants team that has struggled to be a consistent playoff contender in recent seasons. The Giants were mediocre in 2025, going 81-81. Fox's lead MLB team of Joe Davis (play-by-play), Hall of Famer John Smoltz (analyst) & Ken Rosenthal (reporter) will call Yankees-Giants. Davis, Smoltz & Rosenthal begin their fifth season as the lead commentary team for the MLB on Fox.

Some viewers will get a interleague baseball game from Atlanta, Georgia as Bobby Witt Jr. and the Kansas City Royals began their 2026 regular season calendar on the road against Ronald Acuña Jr. and the Atlanta Braves on Saturday, March 28 at 7:15 PM ET on Fox. As mentioned earlier, both clubs attempt to put a disappointing 2025 season in favor of chasing down a postseason berth in 2026. Kansas City went 82-80 in 2025, a downgrade from a 86-76 campaign in 2024 that saw the Royals qualify for the postseason (before losing to the Yankees in that year's ALDS). After seven consecutive postseason runs from 2018-24, the Braves actually didn't make the cut for the playoffs for the first time 2017 last year. Michael Harris II and the Braves are motivated to get back into the playoffs in 2026. Adam Amin (play-by-play), returning for his seventh MLB on Fox season, World Series champion AJ Pierzynski (analyst), and fellow World Series champion Adam Wainwright (analyst) provide commentary for Royals-Braves.

“‘Friday Night Baseball’ on Apple TV continues to elevate how fans experience the game,” said Oliver Schusser, Apple’s vice president of Apple Music, Apple TV, Sports, and Beats. “With cutting-edge production — including the integration of iPhone to capture immersive new perspectives — and a full season of marquee matchups available without local broadcast restrictions, we’re delivering a modern, premium broadcast experience designed for fans everywhere.”

The 2026 season of “Friday Night Baseball” on Apple TV features two main commentary teams who call the action each week. One broadcast team features play-by-play commentator Alex Faust, game analyst Ryan Spilborghs, and sideline reporter Tricia Whitaker. Another commentary group has play-by-play announcer Wayne Randazzo teaming up with analyst and former MLB pitcher Dontrelle Willis in the booth, with Heidi Watney reporting from the field. As in previous years, veteran MLB play-by-play voice Rich Waltz contributes to select play-by-play assignments throughout the season.

Friday Night Baseball” games on Apple TV will be produced by MLB Network’s production team in addition to Apple’s live sports production arm.

2026 MLB on ESPN/ABC Schedule

The current logo used for ESPN and ABC’s MLB broadcasts (2018-present). (Sports Video Group)

| ● Thursday, January 23, 2026

Highlights:
  • ESPN returns for its 37th MLB season of coverage with a 30-game national package, consisting of weeknight games (mostly).
  • ABC to broadcast three games on linear television this summer, including two Cubs matchups.
  • For the first time since 1989, ESPN will not have “Sunday Night Baseball” as part of its MLB coverage.
  • ESPN will exclusively broadcast the Yankees vs. Royals game on Memorial Day -- Monday, May 25, at 3:30 PM ET.
  • ESPN has exclusive rights for the second-half opener and the MLB Little League Classic.

ESPN will resume national coverage of MLB games during the 2026 season. Obviously, there are major changes to ESPN’s MLB presentation. To start, ESPN lost its “Sunday Night Baseball” package to NBC Sports after a 36-year run, meaning that ESPN will have baseball coverage without its Sunday night game slate for the first time. ESPN celebrates its 37th season of MLB coverage in 2026.

This year, ESPN will produce and distribute 30 MLB regular-season games to air on either ESPN or ABC. ESPN maintains its exclusive rights to the MLB Little League Classic. Furthermore, ESPN has acquired the right to broadcast Memorial Day games and the second-half opener. Moreover, ESPN revealed the three MLB regular-season games that will be airing on ABC during the 2026 season. These games will feature divisional clashes and star-studded affairs. This year’s lineup of ABC games is part of ESPN’s new rights agreement with Major League Baseball.

The weekend schedule of ABC telecasts is highlighted by the Saturday matinee Yankees vs. Red Sox on June 27 at 1:00 PM ET. Plus, Nico Hoerner and the Chicago Cubs will appear on two ABC games, including a June 14 road game at San Francisco and an August 16 home game vs. St. Louis.

ESPN opens its new 30-game regular-season slate on Wednesday, April 15 — MLB’s Jackie Robinson Day — as Marcus Semien and the New York Mets face Teoscar Hernández and the two-time defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers at 10:00 PM ET.

ESPN will exclusively televise a Memorial Day tilt on Monday, May 25, at 3:30 PM ET as Giancarlo Stanton and the New York Yankees play Maikel Garcia and the Kansas City Royals.

On Thursday, July 16, at 7:00 PM ET, the New York Mets face the Philadelphia Phillies to begin the second half of the regular season.

Additionally, ESPN will proceed with its annual exclusive telecast of the MLB Little League Classic presented by New York Life. This year’s game features the Atlanta Braves playing the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday, August 23, at 7:00 PM ET.

ESPN saw two of its Major League Baseball play-by-play announcers leave this season: Dave Flemming left ESPN in June, while Karl Ravech was laid off by ESPN the following month (although he did call select games for some time afterward).

The 2026 MLB on ESPN schedule (spring training & regular season) is attached below:
