Welcome everybody to the Week 11 edition of the "NFL on CBS: Field Pass"! CBS's NFL coverage returns to the airwaves this weekend with another great lineup of game action, featuring divisional matchups and interconference games that you won't want to miss.
On Sunday, November 16, CBS will feature a doubleheader consisting of five games. The first set of matchups begins at 1:00 PM ET, featuring the Buccaneers facing the Bills, the Bengals competing against the Steelers, and the Chargers taking on the Jaguars. Following this, during the national doubleheader window at 4:25 PM ET, viewers can expect either the Chiefs visiting the Broncos or the Ravens playing against the Browns. It would be beneficial to discuss which games will be available on your local CBS station this Sunday, as well as the announce team responsible for broadcasting the selected game. Let us delve into these details in this week's article.
Sunday's coverage on CBS begins with a special edition of "The NFL Today powered by RAM Trucks" at 12:00 PM ET. This week, the show is hitting the road ahead of the highly anticipated Chiefs-Broncos battle (4:25 PM ET). Veteran host James Brown anchors from outside Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, joined by an esteemed group of analysts, including Pro Football Hall of Famer Bill Cowher, former NFL wide receiver Nate Burleson, and 2016 NFL MVP Matt Ryan. Lead CBS Sports NFL insider Jonathan Jones provides timely news and information from around the league before the Sunday games get underway.
Sean Tucker and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (6-3) hit the road for this crucial interconference duel against Keon Coleman and the Buffalo Bills (6-3) on Sunday, November 16, at 1:00 PM ET on CBS, featuring Ian Eagle, JJ Watt, & Evan Washburn. Last week, the Buccaneers lost to the Patriots, 28-23, at Raymond James Stadium. In Week 10, the Bills suffered a 31-13 upset loss to the Dolphins. Buccaneers WR Emeka Egubka (rookie) leads the Buccaneers in receptions (40), receiving yards (677), and receiving touchdowns (six). Buccaneers CB Jamel Dean has a career-high with three interceptions on the season so far. The Bills are 14-4 against NFC opponents since the start of the 2022 season. Bills QB Josh Allen has passed for 2,139 yards on the season thus far.
Patrick Queen and the Pittsburgh Steelers (5-4) try to maintain their lead atop the AFC North as they host Ja'Marr Chase and the Cincinnati Bengals (3-6) on Sunday, November 16, at 1:00 PM ET on CBS, called by Kevin Harlan, Trent Green, & Melanie Collins. Joe Flacco threw for 342 yards and three TDs in Cincinnati's 33-31 win over Pittsburgh in Week 7. Bengals star Joe Burrow returned to practice on Monday, November 10.
Donte Jackson and the Los Angeles Chargers (7-3) visit Parker Washington and the Jacksonville Jaguars (5-4) in a conference game on Sunday, November 16, at 1:00 PM ET on CBS, with Spero Dedes (play-by-play), former NFL safety Adam Archuleta (analyst), & Aditi Kinkhabwala (reporter) providing commentary. The Chargers handled the Steelers, 25-10, on "Sunday Night Football" last week. The Jaguars blew a fourth-quarter lead last week in Houston, losing 36-29 to the Texans. The Chargers enter Week 11 on a three-game winning streak and, since Week 16 of last year, have won eight of the past nine games in which linebacker Khalil Mack appeared. Chargers QB Justin Herbert, who ranks second in the NFL in passing yards (2,610) and tied for third in touchdown passes (19), can become the fourth quarterback in NFL history with at least 20 touchdown passes in each of his first six seasons (Peyton Manning, Drew Marino, Russell Wilson). Jaguars WR Jakobi Meyers made his Jaguars debut last week vs. the Texans (was acquired in a trade with the Raiders on November 4). Jaguars S Austin Johnson had his first sack of the season last week against Houston.
Talanoa Hufanga and the AFC West-best Denver Broncos (8-2) host the divisional rival Kansas City Chiefs (5-4) for a Mile High showdown on Sunday, November 16, at 4:25 PM ET on CBS, with the lead team of Jim Nantz (play-by-play), Tony Romo (analyst), & Tracy Wolfson (reporter) assigned to broadcast duties. Kansas City's run of nine straight West titles is in jeopardy as Denver's seven-game win streak is its longest since the 2015 Super Bowl-winning season.
Derrick Henry and the Baltimore Ravens (4-5) cap a road swing against Myles Garrett and the Cleveland Browns (2-7) on Sunday, November 16, at 4:25 PM ET on CBS, with Andrew Catalon, Charles Davis, Super Bowl champion Jason McCourty, and AJ Ross on the call. After last week's 27-19 win at Minnesota, Baltimore has won three straight following an abysmal 1-5 start. The Browns suffered a tough 27-20 loss to the Jets in Week 10 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey recorded his 20th career interception last week vs. the Vikings. Ravens QB Lamar Jackson had 176 passing yards, a touchdown, and 36 rushing yards in his 100th career start in Week 10 at Minnesota. Browns WR Jerry Jeudy had 6 catches for 78 yards and a touchdown in Week 10 vs. the Jets. Browns DT Maliek Collins had 3 tackles, TFL, & 0.5 sack against the Jets last week.
