Tamir's Custom Leagues: 2003 NFL on FOX Game and Studio Announcing Roster

  • David Moskowitz (play-by-play), Chase Griffin (analyst), Jacob Morris (reporter) & Teagan Brown (reporter) serve as the main broadcast team for America's Game of the Week broadcasts.
Following FOX's inaugural Custom Leagues season in 2002, FOX Sports plans to return to the football gridiron this September for their second season of NFL coverage.

For the 2003 season, FOX is planning a major upgrade towards its broadcast teams, with the addition of new play-by-play commentators, analysts, and sideline reporters. Also, FOX is retaining most, if not, all of the studio talent, with a new addition or two.

The 2003 NFL on FOX broadcast team announcement was made by Brad Zager, President, Production & Operations/Executive Producer, FOX Sports.


Studio Coverage:
FOX NFL Kickoff
FOX's NFL schedule begins each Sunday morning at 11:00 AM (ET) with the one-hour FOX NFL Kickoff pregame show. For the second straight season, Charissa Thompson returns to host the one-hour program from Los Angeles. Pro Football Hall of Famer Charles Woodson and four-time Pro Bowler Michael Vick reprise their analyst roles alongside Thompson. Joining the panel for the 2003 season is Julian Edelman, a three-time Super Bowl champion. Supplementing Thompson, Edelman, Woodson, and Vick are FOX NFL insider/reporter Peter Schrager and contributor Colin Cowherd.

The "Manning Hour" segments with contributor Cooper Manning will air each week during the football season.

FOX NFL Sunday
Following FOX NFL Kickoff, the legendary FOX NFL Sunday pregame show signs on the air at 12:00 PM (ET). Curt Menefee and four-time Super Bowl champion Terry Bradshaw serve as the co-hosts of the program. Joining Menefee and Bradshaw is a cast of Pro Football Hall of Famers in analysts Michael Strahan, Jimmy Johnson and Howie Long. FOX NFL Sunday is the only pregame program encompassing an entire analyst roster of Pro Football Hall of Famers. FOX NFL insider Jay Glazer rounds out the cast, providing viewers exclusive insights, late-breaking injury news, and the latest information from around the league. Furthermore, Four-time Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski will make multiple appearances on the show.

Game Coverage:
Moskowitz, Griffin, Brown & Morris:
For the second straight season, play-by-play commentator David Moskowitz and current UCLA quarterback Chase Griffin comprise the lead broadcast team for the NFL on FOX. Joining them on the sidelines is a pair of Syracuse University graduates in Teagan Brown and Jacob Morris. Moskowitz, Griffin, Brown & Morris are on the call for FOX's top regular season and postseason games.

Mike Pereira, FOX's lead NFL rules expert, joins Moskowitz, Griffin, Brown & Morris for doubleheader games and playoff games.

Moskowitz, Griffin, Brown & Morris open up FOX's 2003 season with a preseason game on Saturday, August 23 as Myles Garrett and the Cleveland Browns visit Jared Goff and the Detroit Lions at 1:00 PM (ET). Curt Menefee and Saints legend Mark Ingram II provides pregame, halftime and postgame coverage on-site from Ford Field.

Then, Moskowitz, Griffin, Brown, Morris & Pereira begin Week 1 in Arlington with FOX's first edition of America's Game of Week, as Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys host Saquon Barkley and the New York Giants in a early season NFC East battle on Sunday, September 7 at 4:25 PM (ET).

Moore, Thornton & Payne:
Multi-sport play-by-play announcer Tamir Moore, analyst and 2022 National Champion Miles Thornton & sideline reporter Kayla Payne account for FOX's secondary NFL broadcast team.

Moore, Thornton & Payne are scheduled to make their 2003 debut with a preseason game in Landover, Maryland on Saturday, August 23 as Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens battle Chase Young and the Washington Commanders at 4:30 PM (ET). Menefee & Ingram II once again will provide pregame, halftime & postgame coverage for the Ravens vs. Commanders game.

The regular season begins for this crew in Orchard Park, New York on Sunday, September 7 when Courtland Sutton and the Denver Broncos take on Stefon Diggs and the Buffalo Bills in a Week 1 contest at 1:00 PM (ET).

Prince, Ferguson & Suggs:
Play-by-play commentator and New York Giants superfan Sam Prince returns for his second season of NFL work with FOX Sports working once again with Oregon tight end Terrance Ferguson. FOX Sports newcomer Lendl Suggs, a current student at Campbell University, handles reporting duties for the team.

In Week 1, the crew calls the 4:25 PM (ET) Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco 49ers matchup.

Burkhardt, Olsen, Andrews & Rinaldi:
The critically respected duo of play-by-play caller Kevin Burkhardt and analyst and three-time Pro Bowl tight end Greg Olsen join the FOX Sports family this season for a full slate of NFL broadcasts. Joining Burkhardt and Olsen are on the sidelines is longtime sideline reporter Erin Andrews, the first women to be exclusively honored with the Pat Summerall Award, & 17-time Sports Emmy Award winner Tom Rinaldi.

Burkhardt, Olsen, Andrews & Rinaldi officially break the seal on their FOX Sports tenure in Week 1, where they will be in Cleveland as Deshaun Watson and the Cleveland Browns host Najee Harris and the Pittsburgh Steelers at 1:00 PM (ET).

Johnson, Bradley & Walker:
Recent Morehouse College and aspiring broadcast star Miles Johnson is a noteworthy addition to the NFL on FOX lineup this year. Johnson is scheduled to call games weekly alongside returning analyst Clifford Bradley and returning sideline reporter Isaiah Walker.

Johnson, Bradley & Walker start their season in Week 1 when Anthony Richardson and the Indianapolis Colts play host to Cameron Jordan and the New Orleans Saints at 1:00 PM (ET).

Bostick, Hardie & Hutchinson:
Rising media personality star Roman Bostick returns to the NFL on FOX booth for another season of game calling, alongside Georgia running back and 2022 National Champion Jacob Hardie. Kelvin Hutchinson is back at FOX for another season of sideline reporting.

The team's first assignment for the new season is in Inglewood, California for a Week 1 game between the Chicago Bears and the Los Angeles Chargers at 4:25 PM (ET).
