Sunday, June 30, 2024

The National Basketball Association (NBA) recently made public the broadcast schedules for the NBA 2K25 Summer League 2024, which features all 30 of the league's current franchises and will take place from Friday, July 12 through Monday, July 22 at the Thomas & Mack Center and the Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). This means that we now have the full NBA TV schedule for the Las Vegas summer league, 2024 edition.

Of the 76 scheduled games, the ESPN family of networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN+ & ESPN3) will handle 37 games, with NBA TV airing the remaining games.

ESPN will have a doubleheader on the first night of the Las Vegas Summer League, Friday, July 12. In the first game at 7:30 PM ET, the Lakers' two 2024 draftees Bronny James (LeBron's son, of course) and Dalton Knecht lead the Los Angeles Lakers against No. 3 pick Reed Sheppard and the Houston Rockets. Then, at 9:30 PM ET, Zaccharie Risacher, the 2024 NBA Draft No. 1 overall pick, and the Atlanta Hawks battle Alex Sarr, the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, and the Washington Wizards.

Each team will play at least five games during the Las Vegas Summer League competition, with four games guaranteed from July 12-19. After the first four games have been played by each team, the top four teams will qualify for the playoffs, beginning with a semifinal doubleheader on Sunday, July 21 at 2:00 PM ET and 4:00 PM ET on ESPN. Two winning teams from these semifinal games will meet in the Championship Game 🏆 at 9:00 PM ET on ESPN.

The four playoff teams will be determined by winning percentage in each team's first four Summer League games, with tiebreak criteria available here. The 26 teams that do not advance to the four-team Summer League playoff will play a fifth game ("consolation") on either Saturday, July 20 or Sunday, July 21.

The NBA Summer League in Las Vegas has a rich and robust history of producing future top-tier talent in the NBA. Former participants in this Summer League include 2024 NBA Finals MVP 🏆 Jaylen Brown (who played at NBA Summer League in 2016 & 2017), and Kia Most Valuable Player Award recipients Kevin Durant (2007), Stephen Curry (2009), James Harden (2009), Russell Westbrook (2009), Giannis Antetokoumnpo and Nikola Jokić (2015).

MLB on FOX: On Deck | Bryson Stott and one of the best teams in Major League Baseball, the Philadelphia Phillies, take on Marcell Ozuna and their bitter National League East division rival and the Atlanta Braves, on "Baseball Night in America" | Saturday, July 6 at 7:00 PM (ET) on FOX

Wednesday, July 3, 2024

  • One of baseball's best National League rivalries is under the microscope 🔬 this weekend in Atlanta as Bryson Stott and the Philadelphia Phillies visit Marcell Ozuna and the Atlanta Braves - Saturday, July 6 at 7:00 PM ET on FOX
  • A couple of National League division leaders battle at historic Dodger Stadium as Blake Perkins and the Milwaukee Brewers take on Shohei Ohtani and the Los Angeles Dodgers - Saturday, July 6 at 7:00 PM ET on FOX

The summer 🌞 season continues to sizzle 🔥, as FOX Sports extends your 4th of July holiday weekend by presenting Major League Baseball ⚾ action on the FOX broadcast network on Saturday, July 6, with live game coverage starting at 7:00 PM ET.

Saturday's full day of baseball action begins on FS1 at 1:00 PM ET as Jarren Duran and the Boston Red Sox visit Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees in an American League East rivalry matchup. Jason Benetti and 2005 World Series champion AJ Pierzynski provide remote commentary for the game.

Then, later that night, "Baseball Night in America" (7:00 PM ET) takes the stage on FOX as most of the nation will see Willy Adames and the Milwaukee Brewers take on Jason Heyward and the Los Angeles Dodgers at Dodger Stadium. As of right now, both the Brewers (National League Central) and Dodgers (National League West) lead their respective divisions, so both teams are extremely good and fun to watch.

Currently, the Brewers and the Dodgers are in the top five in the Majors, in terms of scoring runs. So we expect plenty of runs in this game. 🎤 Joe Davis and Hall of Famer John Smoltz team up in the broadcast booth for the call.

For other viewers not receiving Brewers-Dodgers, then you will receive a National League East game as Trea Turner and the Phillies Phillies visit Ozzie Albies and the Atlanta Braves. The Phillies hold the best record in all of baseball, with a 56-29 mark, as of July 3. Meanwhile, this is a critical series for Atlanta if the Braves have any hope whatsoever of making the National League East a competitive division race over the second half of the season or so.

The Phillies rank fourth in baseball (as of Wednesday, July 3) in terms of runners batted in, with 408 so far in the season. The Braves are third in baseball (as of Wednesday, July 3) in doubles, with 158 doubles (only behind the Dodgers & Twins in that category). 🎤 Adam Amin provides commentary alongside 2006 World Series champion Adam Wainwright and reporter Ken Rosenthal.

The Yankees (48-21) have a two and a half game lead in the American League East over the second place Baltimore Orioles (as of Wednesday, June 12). The Red Sox (33-34) are currently on the outside looking in as far as the postseason picture in the American League is concerned, so this series is a huge one for them if they want to provide themselves with a chance to potentially acquire a Wild Card spot (2.0 GB behind Minnesota as of Wednesday, June 12). 🎙 FOX's lead MLB broadcasting team of Joe Davis (play-by-play), John Smoltz (analyst) & Ken Rosenthal (reporter) will have the call from Fenway Park in Boston.

Meanwhile, FOX viewers in the Southwest (Texas, etc.) and the West Coast (Washington, Oregon, etc.) will observe a divisional matchup from T-Mobile Park in Seattle as Julio Rodríguez and the Seattle Mariners welcome in Marcus Semien and the defending champion Texas Rangers for a weekend series inside of the American League West. Did you know?: The Seattle Mariners are the only current MLB team to NEVER make a World Series appearance.  🎙 Aaron Goldsmith and 2005 World Series champion AJ Pierzynski will provide commentary from T-Mobile Park in Seattle.

Thursday, June 6, 2024

  • FOX features Saturday baseball on Saturday, June 8 during the afternoon (1:00 PM ET) and at night (7:30 PM ET).
  • Bryce Harper and the Philadelphia Phillies take on Francisco Lindor and the New York Mets in a National League East clash with a twist, playing at London's London Stadium during the 2024 MLB London Series (Saturday, June 8 at 1:00 PM ET on FOX).
  • Two of baseball's marquee franchises meet in the Bronx as Mookie Betts and the Los Angeles Dodgers visit Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees (Saturday, June 8 at 7:30 PM ET on FOX).
  • José Ramírez and the Cleveland Guardians take on Jazz Chisholm Jr. and the Miami Marlins (Saturday, June 8 at 7:30 PM ET on FOX).

FOX Sports continues their coverage of the 2024 Major League Baseball ⚾ season with a doubleheader on Saturday, June 8, with national coverage of the London game between the Phillies and the Mets in the afternoon (1:00 PM ET) followed by traditional Saturday night "Baseball Night in America" regional coverage later on that evening (7:30 PM ET).

As previously mentioned, FOX will have a special Saturday afternoon broadcast this weekend, as Bryce Harper and the Philadelphia Phillies take on Francisco Lindor and the New York Mets from London Stadium in London as the teams play in the 2024 London Series. The 2024 London Series features the Phillies and the Mets playing two games at London Stadium over the course of two days (with Sunday morning's game being shown nationally on ESPN at 10:00 AM ET). The Phillies (as of Thursday, June 6) are tied with the New York Yankees for the league's best record at 44-19. The Phillies recently swept out the NL Central leading Milwaukee Brewers in a three-game series. The Mets are fresh off a three-game sweep of their division rivals, the Washington Nationals.

Multi-sport commentator Adam Amin will have the play-by-play microphone for FOX's London Series broadcast, joined by a pair of World Series champions -- 2005 World Series champion AJ Pierzynski and 2006 World Series champion Adam Wainwright. Reporter Tom Verducci handles field reporting duties throughout the broadcast.

Then, later that night, FOX will have the traditional "Baseball Night in America" primetime window, starting at 7:30 PM ET. Most of the country will see a blockbuster matchup as Mookie Betts and the Los Angeles Dodgers take on Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees as two of the league's most prominent brands square off in the Bronx, with FOX's lead crew of Joe Davis, John Smoltz and Ken Rosenthal on the call.

Other viewers across the country (less than 10%, as LAD/NYY is essentially a national broadcast due to the markets and star power) will see Tyler Freeman and the Cleveland Guardians take on Tim Anderson and the Miami Marlins. Jason Benetti and Eric Karros will provide commentary from Miami.
