Schedule Features Key Rivalry Games, Top Conference and Notable Programs, including 23 Ranked Teams from AP Men's Top 25

CBS Sports have unveiled its 2021-22 college basketball schedule on the CBS broadcast network. This year's slate is highlighted by appearances from marquee programs - including 23 ranked teams from the Associated Press Men's Preseason Top 25 poll - and top conferences from across the nation, key rivalry games, and Conference Tournament action.

The CBS broadcast network begins its 41st consecutive season of college basketball coverage on Saturday, Dec. 4 with a game between the San Diego State Aztecs and the No. 6 Michigan Wolverines at 1:00 PM, ET. All college basketball games broadcast on the CBS Television Network will be available to stream live on Paramount+.

FOX Sports announced recently their 2021-22 college basketball schedule. This year, more than 300 games will be shown across the FOX family of networks (FOX, FS1, FS2). The season tips off Tuesday, Nov. 9 with exclusive whip-around coverage of seven BIG EAST contests during the BIG EAST OPENING NIGHT TIP-OFF at 6:30 PM ET on FS1.

This season, FOX Sports televises top men's games from the BIG EAST, Big Ten, Pac-12, and Mountain West conferences. The network is also the home of the complete BIG EAST tournament and select games from the Pac-12 tournament.

Highlights from the 2021-22 schedule include eight Gavitt Tipoff Games, the early-season conference challenge between the BIG EAST and the Big Ten, including Seton Hall at preseason No. 6 Michigan and No. 17 Ohio State at Xavier. Over Thanksgiving week, FS1 is home to the Rocket Mortgage Fort Myers Tip-Off, featuring Ohio State, Florida, Seton Hall and California. In December, FOX Sports televises five matchups in the BIG EAST-Big 12 battle, including No. 3 Kansas at St. John's and No. 5 Texas at Seton Hall.

In addition to conference contests, highly anticipated non-conference matchups include Syracuse at Georgetown, Arizona at No. 11 Illinois, No. 2 UCLA at Marquette, and No. 7 Purdue vs. Butler plus Notre Dame vs. Indiana in the 2021 Crossroads Classic.

BIG EAST Broadcast Network Exposure Matches Most in League History

The 40th BIG EAST Tournament at MSG Continues on FOX

FOX to Also Televise Big Ten and Pac-12 Matchups

The 2021-22 BIG EAST Conference men's basketball lineup features FOX Sports, the league's television partner, for the ninth straight season of games. Through the conference's long relationship with FOX, the BIG EAST has continued its status as a national college sports leader in the number of basketball games appearing on an over-the-air national network, like FOX.

The exposure on the FOX broadcast network this season includes 20 games, all on weekends. The league's continuing double round-robin competition concludes with FOX Sports' complete coverage of the Big East Tournament played at Madison Square Garden in New York City, N.Y. for the 40th consecutive year (March 9-12).

The BIG EAST will have at least 21 over-the-air network broadcasts, matching the highest total in league history: 20 on FOX and the BIG EAST Tournament title game.

Play-by-play announcer Gus Johnson alongside analysts Bill Raftery and Jim Jackson will be back to form FOX Sports' lead commentary teams on college basketball duty this season.

The FOX broadcast network begins its schedule on Saturday, December 4th at 12:30 PM (ET) as Marquette visits Wisconsin.

The BIG EAST conference portion of the season begins on Saturday, December 18th at 5:00 PM (ET) on FOX as the Providence Friars take on the UConn Huskies.

The BIG EAST is coming off a season that had four teams participate in the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. For the seven seasons of NCAA Tournament play for the league since it re-formed back in 2013, the BIG EAST has racked up 36 NCAA invitations, averaging around more than five NCAA bids per season.

FOX will once again carry the BIG EAST Tournament championship game from Madison Square Garden in New York City. This year's championship game is scheduled for Saturday, March 12th, at 6:30 PM (ET) on FOX. FOX will televise the championship game of the BIG EAST Tournament for the seventh straight season.

BIG EAST coverage on the FOX broadcast network includes 16 league games and three non-league contests. FOX will carry a doubleheader on Saturday, December 11th, when former BIG EAST rivals Georgetown and Syracuse meet at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., at 12:00 PM (ET) (noon). At 2:30 PM (ET), Marquette hosts UCLA, a Final Four from last season. The last non-league game takes place on Saturday, December 18th, when Butler meets Purdue in the Crossroads Classic in Indianapolis.

The regular season continues on Saturday, March 5th, with a FOX Wildcard Day.

In addition to the BIG EAST coverage already mentioned, the FOX broadcast network will also televise games from the Big Ten and Pac-12 this season.
