Hi, everyone! I just wanted to provide a blog update article today. This is obviously not a regular article. In addition, this article will deal with matters that this blog does not revolve around. Today's feature story will be about the future of this blog in general.

In this story, you will come across the following topics:
  • (1) What's about to happen in my life personally
  • (2) What changes will be enforced upon this blog in the coming weeks and months
  • (3) How you guys can help me ensure this blog does not suffer or ache because of yours truly not working upon weekly
  • (4) My "planned" blog schedule during the Fall of 2019 (in essence, between right now and mid-December)
What's going on?
I am so happy that you guys want to know what is going on. Beginning today (Monday, August 26), I am officially starting my Fall 2019 classes at Delaware County Community College. For those that are not natives of the Philadelphia, Pennsylvania metropolitan area or have not been made familiar with Delaware County Community College, DCCC is a two-year (or additional time added upon that, depending on the student's individual needs) community college that helps students, in basic words, "get their feet off the ground". Delaware County Community College is primarily designated for students who want to avoid the massive and overbearing costs of starting at a regular college and or university in the fall after graduating from the high school level.

The reason why I bring up Delaware County Community College in this story is because of the fact that the course material that has been accumulated thus far will be taking up most (sometimes, all) of my free time (meaning, time spent outside of the classroom: both physical and online) over the next couple of months. Between today's blog post and about mid-December.

This also means that this blog will sometimes get disregarded and/or ignored during this period. I will be incisive and mention how y'all can help this blog continue to be a terrific hub of revolting and percolating information about the world of sports later on.

Furthermore, my mom is scheduled to have surgery in late September. So, around that time, I will definitely and concisely spend minimal time on this blog. If you see no updates around the September / October period, DON'T WRITE ANY BAD OR DISPARAGING COMMENTS to me. THINK BEFORE YOU WRITE, ALWAYSRemember, I can read each of your comments before I approve them and thus enter our blogging community. Please be respectful and mindful during this time. I will update everything promptly at a later date.

Blog changes
Yeah. Today, you will notice that I have updated this blog just a little bit. As mentioned earlier, some of those changes include New background cover art, a new color for the links, & recent pictures of sports athletes. The Blog Archive, Search this Blog & Total Pageviews features were unaffected by today's changes.

* For the NFL: I will no longer post weekly distribution maps (articles), like the past few seasons. Please go to 506sports.com (link attached). You can find all of the maps for each week's NFL games via the link I attached.

Contributions made by my readers (any one of you reading this article)
While I am away doing other more pertinent things during the fall semester, I would appreciate it if you could fill in the gap left by my regimented absences. This means that you commentators (commenter) are more than welcome to comment on anything, as long that topic mentions one of the following categories. Keep this in the back of your mind: When your comment, please exercise good time-management skills. This is concerning how quickly your comments will appear on this blog. Your comments may not show up on any respective article right away. Please be patient and understanding if this does indeed occur. If your comment material doesn't fall under one of the mentioned categories below this paragraph, I will do one of two (2) things: Delete your comment, or I will Block you! So be very careful when you post on here. I take comments on this blog VERY, VERY seriously.

The following will outline for all of you what is deemed as "good" or "bad" contributions:
| Examples of good and acceptable contribution (this will make me very happy) include:
  • If NFL games change their timeslots (or announcers) ...
  • Announcer information regarding any sport ...
  • Any misspellings or mispronunciations on any of my articles ...
  • Any commentary about relevant and applicable stuff with this blog ...
  • Going off-topic (just a little bit, DON'T THINK YOU CAN TALK ABOUT ANYTHING YOU WANT!!) as long that thing deals with some fabric of this blog ...
  • Provide direct links (and sources) to your comments or give me places in which I can check for its verification ...
  • Give positive feedback about my work! (This will be helpful a lot!)
  • Using some "profane" language: like "damn" and "hell"...
| Examples of bad and rousing contributions (this will make me very upset and angry) include:
  • Being disrespectful or threatening towards me in any way...
  • Being rude or threatening towards your fellow readers...
  • Mention or fabricate any inappropriate or untruthful information...
  • Making random stuff up...
  • Constantly harassing or pestering me because my blog work is not up to your standards ...
  • Using consistent or excessive profane language (using any words other than "damn" and "hell")...
  • Any negative feedback about my work that is downright rude or disparaging ...
Blog schedule:
Due to school being my primary focus, this blog will be worked ONLY once or twice per week between now and mid-December. When school is not heavy, I will work on this blog more often than once or twice per week. Again, this time frame is just an outline and is subject to change.

Summary:
I hope this article answers all of your questions regarding this blog's immediate future. If you have any questions about any of the material you came across today, I have two options.

1) Comment on this post: TamirMoore.com Blog Update: Monday, August 26, 2019 (you if regularly read/comment on this blog, PLEASE READ)

2) You can also e-mail me at tamirkmoore14@gmail.com as well. If you so choose to e-mail me, please use the subject line (TamirMoore.com - Whenever the Topic Is) & leave your full first and last name as well. DO NOT SEND ME ANY E-MAILS THAT SEEM INFLAMMATORY OR PROVOCATIVE. Please use respectful and kind language during e-mail sessions, or the e-mail option will be ELIMINATED moving forward.

Thank you!

Yours truly,
Tamir Moore

ESPN announced their 2019-20 NBA regular-season schedule on Monday afternoon. The cable network will serve as the home of 83 nationally televised NBA contests during the next NBA basketball season.

Preseason: ESPN will carry 5 national preseason games prior to the regular season getting going in early October.

Opening Week: ESPN's opening week of 4 basketball games starts on Wednesday, October 23. The first game of that doubleheader at 7:30 p.m. (ET) has Kemba Walker and the Boston Celtics visiting Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers in a rivalry that spawns back several decades. NBA Wednesday then shifts to Portland as Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers host Jamal Murray and the Denver Nuggets at 10 p.m. (ET). Mind you, Blazers-Nuggets is a second round re-match from last season's playoffs, with Portland prevailing in seven games.

Opening week continues on Friday, October 25. The first game that night's doubleheader coverage will be the reigning Rookie of the Year Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks taking on Zion and the New Orleans Pelicans at 8 p.m. (ET). NBA Friday then shifts to Los Angeles as the Lakers host Donovan Mitchell and the Utah Jazz  at 10:30 p.m. (ET).

Christmas: On Wednesday, December 25, ESPN will televise 2 Christmas games: Celtics vs. Raptors at 12:00 p.m. (ET) & Pelicans vs. Nuggets at 10:30 p.m. (ET). In addition, ESPN will televise Clippers vs. Lakers at 8:00 PM ET along with ABC.

You will notice that on the final night of the NBA's regular season, Wednesday, April 15, ESPN has intentionally left NBA Wednesday open in order to flex in two important and pertinent games in regards to upcoming NBA Playoffs, which start the following Saturday (April 18). Good move! 😁

ESPN and ABC will team for up to 44 NBA Playoffs games, culminating with ABC"s exclusive coverage of the 2020 NBA Finals. This season, ESPN will exclusively show the Eastern Conference Finals. All ESPN and ABC game telecasts this season are available via the ESPN App.

Overall, ESPN will carry 21 Wednesday doubleheaders & 15 Friday doubleheaders throughout the season.
