Sunday, November 3, 2024

  • A five-game regional slate for the NFL on FOX as the second half of the 2024 season opens up this Sunday, November 10.
  • A special two-hour of "FOX NFL Sunday" this week as FOX continues their time-honored tradition of broadcasting from a military base on or around Veterans Day. Live from Naval Base San Diego, "FOX NFL Sunday" will air from 11:00 AM (ET) to 1:00 PM (ET) [8:00 AM (PT) to 10:00 AM (PT)] on FOX this week with Curt Menefee, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Michael Strahan, Jimmy Johnson, Rob Gronkowski, and Jay Glazer.
  • Some of the current top-tier teams are set to make FOX appearances this week - including Justin Jefferson and the Minnesota Vikings (6-2), Kirk Cousins and the Atlanta Falcons (6-3) and Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers (5-3).
  • Brock Purdy and the San Francisco 49ers (4-4) engage in battle with Jordan Whitehead and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-5) in a game that has massive implications in the NFC on Sunday, November 10 at 1:00 PM (ET).
  • Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers (5-3) welcome the Tennessee Titans (2-6) to town for an AFC tilt on Sunday, November 10 at 4:05 PM (ET).

Hi, everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful week! I am writing this article to serve as our weekly NFL on FOX "regionalization" post. We are now in Week 10?! How is that possible? Anyways, FOX Sports has a regional day of football activity this Sunday, November 10. The top game in the FOX stable this week is a NFC matchup from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida as Christian McCaffrey and the San Francisco 49ers (4-4) pick up their weekly game routine following a bye week versus Baker Mayfield and the plummeting Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-5).

Furthermore, FOX has a five-game schedule this Sunday (factoring in San Francisco @ Tampa Bay from before) - 49ers at Buccaneers (1:00 PM ET, previously mentioned), Patriots at Bears (1:00 PM ET), Falcons at Saints (1:00 PM ET), Vikings at Jaguars (1:00 PM ET) & Titans at Chargers (4:05 PM ET). Ladies and gentlemen, you know that Tamir has the scoop on this Sunday's NFL on FOX game coverage. Time now to discuss these games in further analysis with this week's FOX regionalization article.

This week, the pregame lineup on FOX will be a little bit different. Instead of having two pregame shows like most weeks, the iconic pregame program "FOX NFL Sunday" is expanding to two hours for one week only. The "FOX NFL Sunday" guys will be in San Diego, California at Naval Base San Diego for the entire two-hour show, beginning at 11:00 AM ET and running through 1:00 PM ET. Curt Menefee, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Jimmy Johnson, Rob Gronkowski, Michael Strahan & Jay Glazer will continue FOX's longstanding tradition of airing "FOX NFL Sunday" at a military base on or around Veterans Day.

After the special two-hour Veterans Day edition of "FOX NFL Sunday", FOX will move ahead to carry the early 1:00 PM ET kickoffs for markets that are permitted to watch in this window. The four-game schedule includes: 49ers at Buccaneers (55% of Markets), Patriots at Bears (15% of Markets), Falcons at Saints (7% of Markets) & Vikings at Jaguars (5% of Markets). We will tackle every game in this lineup, to furnish you with insight and things to look for when you watch these games.

Two teams that are searching for sustainable momentum butt heads in Tampa as Fred Warner and the San Francisco 49ers (4-4), coming off a bye week, visit William Gholston and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-5) on Sunday, November 10 at 1:00 PM (ET). The 49ers recorded a 30-24 win over the Cowboys on "Sunday Night Football" in Week 8 (prior to the team taking a bye week last week). The Buccaneers lost to the Chiefs, 30-24 in overtime, on "Monday Night Football" last week. And now, these two will glance at each other for three hours on Sunday afternoon. In the Cowboys game two weeks ago, the 49ers were led by QB Brock Purdy went 18-for-26 for 260 yards and one touchdown. Additionally, 49ers RB Isaac Guerendo (part of the running back rotation in the absence of Christian McCaffrey over the first eight games) went for a career high 14 carries and 85 yards vs. the Cowboys in Week 8, including his first career touchdown. The Buccaneers look to quarterback Baker Mayfield to steer the ship, as Mayfield leads the league in passing touchdowns (51) since Mayfield took over the Buccaneers starting quarterback job in 2023. The Buccaneers are the only team in the league with runners over 275+ scrimmage yards this season (Bucky Irving - 593, Rachaad White - 527 & Sean Tucker - 283). 🎙 Calling Sunday's 49ers-Buccaneers over the national FOX airwaves will be Kevin Burkhardt (play-by-play), former Buccaneers QB and seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady (analyst), Erin Andrews (reporter) & Tom Rinaldi (reporter).

Hunter Henry and the New England Patriots (2-7) try to throw in a monkey wrench to rookie quarterback Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears' (4-4) playoff chances on Sunday, November 10 at 1:00 PM ET on FOX. The Patriots lost a tight game at the Titans, 20-17, in overtime. Patriots RB Rhamondre Stevenson has a career high six rushing touchdowns in 2024, with three rushing touchdowns over the past two weeks. Patriots LB Jahlani Tavai led the team with 11 tackles last week vs. the Titans. The Bears look to rebound following a ugly 29-9 loss to the Cardinals last week. Since Week 4, Bears QB Caleb Williams is one of just two passers to have seven touchdowns and one or fewer interceptions (Ravens QB Lamar Jackson is the other one). Bears RB D'Andre Swift's 615 yards from scrimmage are fourth-most in the NFL since Week 4. 🎙 Kevin Kugler (play-by-play), three-time Super Bowl champion Daryl Johnston (analyst) and Laura Okmin (reporter) will be on the call for Sunday's Patriots-Bears game on FOX.

Two NFC South teams take the field against each other in Week #10 as Kirk Cousins and the NFC South leading Atlanta Falcons (6-3) visit Marquez Valdes-Scantling and the dismal New Orleans Saints (2-7) on Sunday, November 10 at 1:00 PM ET on FOX. The Falcons are coming off two straight victories, including a 27-21 win over the Cowboys last week. The Falcons are in very good shape considering the fact that they missed the postseason in 2023. Falcons RB Bijan Robinson compiled 145 scrimmage yards last week vs. the Cowboys. Falcons ILB Kaden Elliss set a season high in tackles (13), defensive stops (9), pass rushes (15) and pressures (5) last week vs. the Cowboys. The Saints' season has been a complete disaster, as the team has seven straight losses on their resume entering this divisional clash. Last week, the Saints had a heartbreaking defeat 23-22 at the hands of the Carolina Panthers. Darren Rizzi makes his debut as the Saints' interim coach, replacing Dennis Allen (who was fired following last week's loss to Carolina). Saints RB Alvin Kamara ranks first in the NFL with 51 first downs. 🎙 Play-by-play commentator Joe Davis joins analyst and three-time Pro Bowl tight end Greg Olsen and reporter Pam Oliver for Sunday's Falcons-Saints game on FOX.

Justin Jefferson and the Minnesota Vikings (6-2) begin a three-game road trip against Joshua Hines-Allen and the hapless Jacksonville Jaguars (2-7) on Sunday, November 10 at 1:00 PM (ET) on FOX. The Vikings got back to the winning ways last week with a 21-13 victory over the Indianapolis Colts on "Sunday Night Football". The Vikings didn't make the playoffs in 2023. However, they are off to a wonderful start this season with a 6-2 mark through eight games. Vikings RB Aaron Jones has 82 scrimmage yards (64 rush, 18 rec.) in Week 9 vs. the Colts. Vikings WR Justin Jefferson had 7 catches for a season-high 137 yards in Week 9 vs. Indianapolis. The Jaguars bring a poor 2-7 record into play in Week #10, as their season is basically. Last week, the Jaguars traveled to Philadelphia to face the Eagles and lost 28-23 to Philadelphia. Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence rushed for two touchdowns last week against Philadelphia. Jaguars RB Tank Bigsby has 75+ rushing yards in two of his past three games. 🎙 Versatile play-by-play announcer Adam Amin facilitates Sunday's Vikings-Jaguars broadcast on FOX as a play-by-play guy, with game analyst and former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez. Kristina Pink works the sidelines.

Later on, for viewers slated to receive a late game only, live game coverage of the Tennessee Titans (2-6) at Los Angeles Chargers (5-3) (18% of Markets) game begins at 4:05 PM ET. Extra information about this matchup will be made available for you.

The Titans, who enter Sunday's game at the Chargers with a dreadful 2-6 record, actually picked up a rare win last week vs. the Patriots, winning 20-17 in overtime thanks to Nick Folk's game-winning kick. For the third straight year, the Titans and Chargers battle each other. Last year, the Titans narrowly defeated the Chargers 27-24 in overtime at Nissan Stadium. The Titans make just their second-ever visit to SoFi Stadium in the stadium's brief five-year history. Titans RB Tony Pollard ran for 128 yards and collected 154 yards from scrimmage (26 yards on 3 catches) in Week 9 vs. the Patriots. The Titans defense had a field day vs. the Patriots last week, forcing three turnovers. The Chargers return to SoFi Stadium following a 27-10 last week vs. the Browns. Chargers QB Justin Herbert passed for two tuddies, while Chargers RB J.K. Dobbins powered in two more tuddies. The Chargers are firmly in the playoff picture at 5-3, currently holding a Wild Card position. 🎙 Sunday's Titans-Chargers commentary team on FOX features play-by-play announcer Kenny Albert, analyst and Super Bowl champion Jonathan Vilma and reporter Megan Olivi.

  • Two longtime NFC East foes battle it out once again in the CBS national doubleheader window as DeVonta Smith and the Philadelphia Eagles (6-2), winners of four straight games, visit Jourdan Lewis and the slumping Dallas Cowboys (3-5; losers of three straight games) on Sunday, November 10 at 4:25 PM (ET).

Hello, everyone! Welcome to the second half of the 2024 NFL Season. Can you believe it is Week 10 already? Where has time gone? Anyways, CBS Sports has an exciting Week #10 doubleheader on Sunday, November 10. If you are a hardcore NFC East fan, this week's doubleheader slot is the one for you. Rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels leads the most surprising team in the NFL this year, the Washington Commanders (7-2), against Minkah Fitzpatrick and the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers (6-2) at 1:00 PM ET Then, Jalen Hurts and the streaking Philadelphia Eagles (6-2) look for their fifth straight dub against Micah Parsons and the Dallas Cowboys (3-5) in an old-fashioned NFC East battle at 4:25 PM ET.

Besides the two games that I mentioned in the first paragraph, CBS has five games on the network this Sunday. These games include Steelers at Commanders (1:00 PM ET; previously mentioned), Broncos at Chiefs (1:00 PM ET), Bills at Colts (1:00 PM ET), Eagles at Cowboys (4:25 PM ET; previously mentioned) & Jets at Cardinals (4:25 PM ET). Which doubleheader games will your local CBS market show on Sunday and who's calling the game over-the-air? Find out the answers to these questions and more in this week's NFL on CBS "regionalization" article.

First off, CBS' weekly NFL coverage begins in the studio with the latest edition of "The NFL Today" pregame show at 12:00 PM ET on CBS. As per usual, James Brown functions as the studio host live from New York. Joining Brown for pregame analysis and insights are former NFL wide receiver Nate Burleson, Hall of Famer coach Bill Cowher, four-time Pro Bowler and 2016 NFL MVP Matt Ryan and three-time Defensive Player of the Year JJ Watt. Lead insider Jonathan Jones also joins the program to discuss the latest news and notes from around the NFL. On "The NFL Today" this week - NFL on CBS analyst Charles Davis reports live ahead of Steelers-Commanders, Eagles RB Saquon Barkley sits down with analyst Nate Burleson, Matt Ryan speaks with Commanders QB Jayden Daniels ahead of Steelers-Commanders & a discussion of the current divisional races.

Following the conclusion of "The NFL Today", CBS heads out to the various NFL stadiums across the country for the first game of the doubleheader at 1:00 PM ET. As a side note, Tampa will not be getting an early game on CBS due to the Buccaneers enforcing a local blackout. Instead, Tampa will receive only one game on CBS on Sunday - Eagles at Cowboys in the national doubleheader window. Turning our focus back to the early CBS slate, three games will be regionalized on CBS during this time - Steelers at Commanders (Primary, 57% of Markets), Broncos at Chiefs (36% of Markets) & Bills at Colts (5% of Markets). Let's briefly chat about these matchups to start your CBS doubleheader Sunday.

T.J. Watt and the Pittsburgh Steelers (6-2) resume their regular season schedule following a Week 9 bye against Jayden Daniels and the red-hot Washington Commanders (7-2) on Sunday, November 10 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. Both teams are starting to round into form, as both clubs possess three-game winning streaks entering this Week 10 contest. The Steelers are coming off a 26-18 win over the Giants on "Monday Night Football" in Week #8, while the Commanders defeated the Giants 27-22 in Week #9. Steelers LB T.J. Watt recorded two sacks vs. the Giants in Week #8 and has amassed 103 sacks since his arrival in the NFL back in 2017, the fourth most sacks by a player in his first eight seasons in professional football. The Commanders have won seven of nine starts made by rookie quarterback and the reigning 2023 Heisman Trophy winner out of LSU Jayden Daniels. 🎙 Ian Eagle (play-by-play) and Charles Davis (analyst) have the Steelers-Commanders call on Sunday up in the CBS booth, with Evan Washburn (reporter) reporting from the sidelines.

Two AFC West foes get together in Week #10 as P.J. Locke and the Denver Broncos (5-4) travel to GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri for a matchup against Patrick Mahomes and the defending two-time Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs (8-0) on Sunday, November 10 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. The Broncos are looking to bounce back following a 41-10 drubbing at the hands of the Ravens last week. The Chiefs, on the other hand, are continuing to win games despite multiple adverse moments during the first eight games. Last week, the Chiefs got a 30-24 win over the Buccaneers in overtime on "Monday Night Football". The Chiefs have won 16 of the past 17 regular season meetings between the clubs, so the Broncos are definitely thinking about this in preparation for this Sunday's confrontation. Broncos RB Javonte Williams had 84 yards from scrimmage (42 pass, 42 rush) last week vs. Baltimore. Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes set season highs in completions (34), comp pct. (77.3), TD passes (3) & rating (116.8) last week vs. Tampa Bay. 🎙 Sunday's Broncos-Chiefs battle will be available for a national broadcast on CBS, with play-by-play announcer Kevin Harlan, analyst and former NFL quarterback Trent Green and reporter Melanie Collins handling broadcast duties.

Josh Allen and the flaming hot Buffalo Bills (7-2) strive to continue their excellent beginning to the 2024 campaign with a road date against Kenny Moore II and the Indianapolis Colts (4-5) on Sunday, November 10 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. The Bills have claimed victory in four straight games entering this week's game. Indianapolis, though, has turned things around following a rough 0-2 start with four wins in their last seven games (4-3). The Bills are coming off a thrilling win vs. the Dolphins last week, as Tyler Bass drilled a 61-yard field goal to provide Buffalo with their seventh win. The Colts dropped a game to the Vikings last week on "Sunday Night Football", 21-13. Bills QB Josh Allen has had a great start to 2024, throwing for 17 touchdowns and only tossing 2 picks thus far. Colts LB Zaire Franklin had 8 tackles & 2nd-career interception in Week 9 vs. the Vikings. 🎙 Commentary for Sunday's Bills-Colts game on CBS will be given by play-by-play commentator Andrew Catalon, analyst and Super Bowl champion Jason McCourty, analyst and former NFL running back Tiki Barber & reporter AJ Ross.

The CBS Week #10 doubleheader presses on at 4:25 PM ET with the national doubleheader game. Viewers will have two options in terms of a game choice in the later window on CBS this week - Eagles at Cowboys (Primary, 90% of Markets) & Jets at Cardinals (10% of Markets). To make a long story short, if you do not live in New York City, Phoenix or some regional market related to the Jets and/or Cardinals, you are getting Eagles at Cowboys. Sorry, but not sorry! I will invite you to read the quick summaries that will offer you a preview of these two matchups.

DeVonta Smith and the Philadelphia Eagles commute to Dallas this weekend to renew a traditional NFC East rivalry with Micah Parsons and the slumping Dallas Cowboys (3-5) on Sunday, November 10 at 4:25 PM ET on CBS. The Eagles had fans sweat it out, but grabbed a 28-23 win over the Jaguars last week to extend the team's winning streak. The Eagles are hot in pursuit of their first win in Dallas since 2017. Philadelphia is attempting to keep pace with the scorching hot Washington Commanders in the NFC East (by the way, Washington and Philadelphia will play each other on TNF next week). Eagles RB Saquon Barkley had season-high 199 scrimmage yards (159 rush, 40 rec.) & 2 TD (1 rush, 1 rec.) last week vs. the Jaguars. The Cowboys are faltering pretty badly right now with three straight losses coming into this divisional duel. Last week, the Cowboys fell short in a close game with the Falcons, 27-21. Cowboys QB Dak Prescott will be out indefinitely due to a partially torn hamstring, so backup QB Cooper Rush will replace Prescott for the time being. However, the Cowboys get an important player back as Cowboys LB Micah Parsons makes his return following a four-game absence due to a left ankle sprain. Folks, this is a game that the Cowboys have to win. Why? The Cowboys' playoff chances are in severe jeopardy, as they trail Green Bay by 2.5 games for a Wild Card spot and 3.5 games for the NFC East lead entering the Week #10 meeting with Philadelphia. The Cowboys really can't afford too many more losses. 🎙 Sunday's Eagles-Cowboys game will be on CBS, with the lead crew describing the action: Jim Nantz (play-by-play), analyst and former Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo (analyst) & Tracy Wolfson (reporter).

Quinnen Williams and the New York Jets (3-6) make a trip out to the desert this week to line up against Budda Baker and the surprising NFC West leader Arizona Cardinals (5-4) on Sunday, November 10 at 4:25 PM ET on CBS. It has been a disappointing season for the Jets to say the least, considering the expectations surrounding this team. Following last week's 21-13 victory over the Texans on "Thursday Night Football", the Jets are trying to string two wins together for just the second time this season. To be honest, this is a MUST win for Jets (every game the Jets play is a must-win for this point on). The Jets haven't qualified for the NFL playoffs since 2010 (!!). Jets QB Aaron Rodgers went 22-for-32 for 211 yards & a season-high 3 touchdowns vs. the Texans last week. Jets CB Sauce Gardner had a pass deflected last week vs. the Texans. For the Cardinals, this season has been an astounding rise from the bottom. The Cardinals had a dominant win last week, besting the Bears 29-9 at State Farm Stadium. Following a last place finish in the NFC West in 2023, the Cards have first place in the NFC West at the midway point of the season. Cardinals QB Kyler Murray went 27-37 for 380 yards & TD vs. INT for 103.4 meeting & rushed for 31 yards & TD in the last meeting (October 11, 2020 - a game that the Cardinals won 30-10). 🎙 Sunday's Jets-Cardinals broadcast team on CBS consists of play-by-play commentator Spero Dedes, analyst Adam Archuleta and reporter Aditi Kinkhabwala.

  • An exciting America's Game of the Week doubleheader game as the two top teams in the NFC North get together - Amon-Ra St. Brown and the Detroit Lions (6-1) vs. Xavier McKinney and the Green Bay Packers (6-2) - Sunday, November 3 at 4:25 PM (ET).

Hello, everyone! Thank you so much for taking some time out of your day to read this week's NFL on FOX article. Believe it or not, it is Week #9 already! Damn! And FOX Sports has a doubleheader of game action coming your way this Sunday, November 3. Six games are scheduled to be on FOX this week, including Cowboys at Falcons (1:00 PM ET), Commanders at Giants (1:00 PM ET), Raiders at Bengals (1:00 PM ET), Patriots at Titans (1:00 PM ET), Lions at Packers (4:25 PM ET) & Rams at Seahawks (4:25 PM ET). We have plenty of information to cover, so let's get started!

The two "key" games to watch on FOX this week are Cowboys at Falcons and Lions at Packers. At 1:00 PM (ET), most of the country will observe CeeDee Lamb and the Dallas Cowboys (3-4) make a visit to the Peach State for a Week #9 meeting with Darnell Mooney and the NFC South-leading Atlanta Falcons (5-3), as Adam Amin, three-time Pro Bowl tight end Greg Olsen & Pam Oliver provide commentary. Later on at 4:25 PM (ET), America's Game of the Week provides us with a riveting NFC North showdown as Jahmyr Gibbs and the NFC North-leading Detroit Lions (6-1) take a trip to Lambeau Field to play Jaire Alexander and the Green Bay Packers (6-2), as FOX's lead crew of Kevin Burkhardt (play-by-play), seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady (analyst), Erin Andrews (reporter) & Tom Rinaldi (reporter) provides commentary.

FOX starts Week #9 doubleheader coverage with the "FOX NFL Kickoff" pre-pregame show at 11:00 AM (ET). Host Charissa Thompson leads the coverage for the program, joined on-set by a exceptional group of analysts, three-time Super Bowl champion Julian Edelman, four-time Pro Bowler Michael Vick & Hall of Famer Charles Woodson. In addition, insider Peter Schrager will also appear on the show to provide up-to-the-minute information about the latest NFL news. Cooper Manning and Colin Cowherd are also scheduled to contribute segments throughout the hour-long pregame program.

Following "FOX NFL Kickoff", the first-rate "FOX NFL Sunday" pregame show hits the air at 12:00 PM (ET). As per usual, Curt Menefee and Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw share hosting duties. To supplement Menefee & Bradshaw, three Hall of Famers sit on the panel to dispense their thoughts and opinions about the games set to kick off in a few minutes - Super Bowl champion Michael Strahan, Super Bowl champion Howie Long and two-time Super Bowl champion Jimmy Johnson. Longtime FOX Sports personality Jay Glazer holds down the insider position, talking about the news and information that is pertinent to a particular football Sunday.

FOX kicks off the Week #9 national doubleheader at 1:00 PM (ET) with the early afternoon action from stadiums across the country. In this window, FOX has four games on the menu - Cowboys at Falcons, Commanders at Giants, Raiders at Bengals and Patriots at Titans. An expedited synopsis of every early FOX game is coming up for your viewing pleasure in mere moments from now.

Dak Prescott and the floundering Dallas Cowboys (3-4) strive to get back on track this week with a contest against Bijan Robinson and the astounding NFC South leading Atlanta Falcons (5-3) on Sunday, November 3 at 1:00 PM (ET) on FOX. The Cowboys have dropped two straight games, a 47-9 loss to the Lions in Week 6 and a 30-24 loss to the 49ers in Week 8. Now, the Cowboys try to get back to .500 as the midseason point approaches. Cowboys CB Amani Oruwariye had a season-high eight tackles last week vs. the 49ers. The Cowboys have been playing without three-time Pro Bowl linebacker Micah Parsons and four-time Pro Bowl defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence for some time now. Meanwhile, A.J. Terrell and the Falcons have SHOCKED the NFL world by being in first place in the NFC South following eight weeks. The Falcons beat the Buccaneers, 31-26, last week for their second victory over the Buccaneers in less than a month, giving them the season sweep. 🎙 Sunday's Cowboys-Falcons game will be nationally televised on FOX, as Adam Amin (play-by-play), three-time Pro Bowl tight end Greg Olsen (analyst) & Pam Oliver (reporter) will be tasked with broadcasting duties.

Terry McLaurin and the Washington Commanders (6-2) visit Daniel Jones and the New York Giants (2-6) on Sunday, November 3 at 1:00 PM (ET) on FOX. The Commanders defeated the Bears 18-15 in Week 8 thanks to four field goals from Austin Seibert, and Jayden Daniels' WILD and CRAZY Hail Mary to Noah Brown as time expired. Giants rookie WR Malik Nabers and the Giants are coming off a 26-18 loss to the Steelers in Week 8. 🎙 This week's Commanders-Giants broadcast team on FOX features Chris Myers (play-by-play), former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez (analyst) & Kristina Pink (reporter).

Two mediocre teams look to build some positive momentum at Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati this Sunday, as Alexander Mattison and the Las Vegas Raiders (2-6) make the long flight out East to compete against Cam Taylor-Britt and the Cincinnati Bengals (3-5) on Sunday, November 3 at 1:00 PM (ET) on FOX. To me, this feels like a survival game for both of these clubs. At the midway point, YOU do not wanna be 2-7 (Raiders' case) or 3-6 (Bengals' case). The loser of this matchup can pretty much kiss their season goodbye, barring a miracle. Las Vegas has lost four straight games, including last week's loss to the Chiefs. Raiders WR DJ Turner caught his first-ever touchdown pass in Week 8 vs. the Chiefs. Bengals RB Chase Brown had a rushing touchdown last week in a dispiriting 37-17 loss to the Eagles. Potentially, the Bengals could on the be the fringe of the AFC playoff picture with a win this week and some results breaking their way. 🎙 FOX serves as the television home for Raiders-Bengals, with Kevin Kugler (play-by-play), three-time Super Bowl champion Daryl "Moose" Johnston (analyst) and Laura Okmin (reporter) describing the gameplay.

Two bottom of the barrel teams meet in Nashville this Sunday as Christian Gonzalez and the New England Patriots (2-6) duel Calvin Ridley and the Tennessee Titans (1-6) on Sunday, November 3 at 1:00 PM (ET) on FOX. You have two teams basically out of the postseason picture and just playing out the strings at this point. The Patriots have had a lousy season, with a six-game losing streak just getting snapped last week with a close 25-22 win over the Jets. The Patriots have won six of the last seven meetings with the Titans. Titans S Quandre Diggs tries for his 4th in a row with 5+ tackles. 🎙 Sunday's Patriots-Titans game will be seen on FOX, with Jason Benetti serving as the play-by-play commentator, three-time Super Bowl champion Mark Schlereth serving as the game analyst & longtime FOX Sports reporter Jennifer Hale manning the sidelines.

The Week #9 NFL on FOX doubleheader continues at 4:25 PM (ET) with America's Game of the Week. FOX plans to regionalize two games at 4:25 PM (ET) this Sunday, Lions at Packers and Rams at Seahawks. We will briefly discuss these two games on FOX in just a moment.

Jared Goff and the explosive Detroit Lions (6-1) visit to Romeo Doubs and the Green Bay Packers (6-2) for this NFC North clash on Sunday, November 3 at 4:25 PM (ET) on FOX. The Lions are currently leading the NFL at 33.4 points per game after hanging 52 points on the Titans in Week 8. Packers QB Jordan Love sustained a groin injury in a 30-27 win over the Jaguars last week, so we'll see what Jordan's status will be for Sunday's game. 🎙 Play-by-play commentator Kevin Burkhardt joins analyst and seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady in the broadcast booth for Sunday's Lions-Packers broadcast, with Erin Andrews & Tom Rinaldi reporting from the sidelines.

Puka Nacua and the Los Angeles Rams (3-4) find themselves in Seattle to participate in an all-important NFC West battle with Geno Smith and the Seattle Seahawks (4-4) on Sunday, November 3 at 4:25 PM (ET) on FOX. In recent weeks, the NFC West division is starting to tighten up, with all four teams in the division separated by just a half game entering Week #9. This game is paramount for Rams head coach Sean McVay and his team, as they look to upset the Seahawks and climb back to .500. In a 30-20 win over the Vikings last week, the Rams added two important pieces back in wide receiver Cooper Kupp & wide receiver Puka Nacua. The Seahawks are currently navigating through turbulent times following a hot 3-0 start (an abysmal 1-4 record ever since). Seahawks QB Geno Smith leads the NFL in pass yards (2,197) & completions (212). The Seahawks enter a very pivotal portion of their schedule, with four division games in a five-game stretch (including this one). 🎙 Kenny Albert (the last original member of the NFL on FOX announcing team) calls play-by-play with analyst and Super Bowl champion Jonathan Vilma and reporter Megan Olivi.

Following America's Game of the Week, FOX heads back to the Los Angeles studios for "The OT", starting at 7:30 PM (ET). Curt Menefee, Terry Bradshaw, Jimmy Johnson, Michael Strahan, Howie Long and Jay Glazer preside over the half-hour postgame show talking about Sunday's game action that just occurred, with interviews, analysis and other features planned.

  • "The NFL Today" once again functions as CBS's official pregame show, setting the table for Sunday's game action, beginning at 12:00 PM (ET). James Brown hosts alongside analysts Nate Burleson, JJ Watt, Matt Ryan & Bill Cowher with Jonathan Jones serving as the insider.
  • Five teams with winning records set to play on the NFL on CBS this Sunday, including: the Buffalo Bills (6-2), the Philadelphia Eagles (5-2), the Denver Broncos (5-3), the Baltimore Ravens (5-3) & the Chicago Bears (4-3).
  • A consequential AFC showdown is on the Week 9 docket as Javonte Williams and the Denver Broncos (5-3) visit Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens (5-3). The lead NFL on CBS team of play-by-play commentator Jim Nantz, analyst and former NFL quarterback Tony Romo, and reporter Tracy Wolfson will be on-site in Baltimore for the 1:00 PM (ET) kickoff.
  • Three of top 10 2024 NFL Draft picks are set to share the stage at State Farm Stadium as 2024 NFL Draft #1 overall pick Caleb Williams, 2024 NFL Draft #9 overall pick Rome Odunze and the Chicago Bears (4-3) travel out west to play 2024 NFL Draft #4 overall pick Marvin Harrison Jr. and the surging Arizona Cardinals (4-4) on Sunday, November 3 at 4:05 PM (ET) on CBS.

Hello, everybody! I hope you enjoyed your extra hour of sleep with the arrival of Standard Time. We are now at the midway point of this 2024 NFL season, and CBS Sports is set to provide more coverage of the NFL this Sunday, November 3, with regional coverage all afternoon long. In Week #9, CBS will televise one of the following six games in your local market - Dolphins at Bills (1:00 PM ET), Broncos at Ravens (1:00 PM ET), Chargers at Browns (1:00 PM ET), Saints at Panthers (1:00 PM ET), Jaguars at Eagles (4:05 PM ET) & Bears at Cardinals (4:05 PM ET). Please read on to learn additional details about this week's NFL on CBS coverage.

The "marquee" game on CBS this week is a critical AFC matchup from Baltimore's M&T Bank Stadium featuring a pair of 5-3 teams. Courtland Sutton and the Denver Broncos look to continue their recent success against Derrick Henry and the Baltimore Ravens, winners of five of their last six games following a dismal 0-2 start. Jim Nantz, Tony Romo, and Tracy Wolfson handle the early afternoon CBS call (1:00 PM ET).

As always, NFL coverage on CBS is preceded by "The NFL Today" pregame show at 12:00 PM (ET). Veteran studio host James Brown hosts the one-hour program, with a strong cast of analysts, including former NFL wide receiver Nate Burleson, 2016 NFL MVP and four-time Pro Bowler Matt Ryan & Hall of Fame head coach Bill Cowher. To complete the on-air talent roster, lead Jonathan Jones shares the latest news & information from around the NFL.

Once "The NFL Today" is complete, CBS will send viewers to the NFL game sites for the early afternoon games (for markets permitted to receive a game in this window), beginning at 1:00 PM (ET). Four games will be regionalized during this time, including Chargers at Browns, Saints at Panthers, Broncos at Ravens & Dolphins at Bills. Check out quick summaries of each 1:00 PM ET matchup below.

A matchup with high significance is set to unfold in Baltimore as Patrick Surtain II and the Denver Broncos (5-3) make a trip to the Eastern Time Zone to line up against the (reigning) 2023 NFL MVP Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens (5-3) on Sunday, November 3 at 1:00 PM (ET) on CBS. Both teams are currently on similar trajectories, winners of five of six following a ugly 0-2 start. The winner increases their chances for qualifying for the postseason with a 6-3 mark at the halfway point. The Broncos rank third in the league in scoring defense (15 points per game). The Ravens possess the top offense in the AFC (30.3 points per game). Broncos rookie QB Bo Nix set career-high marks in completions, comp pct., pass yards & TD passes last week in the Broncos' 28-14 win over the Panthers. Ravens QB Lamar Jackson became the first quarterback in NFL history with at least 500 rushing yards in seven straight years last week in a shocking 29-24 loss to the Browns. 🎙 CBS' top team of Jim Nantz (play-by-play), Tony Romo (analyst) & Tracy Wolfson (reporter) head to M&T Bank Stadium to call this high-stakes AFC showdown.

Two divisional rivals from the AFC East will oppose each other for the second and final time this regular season as Jalen Ramsey and the Miami Dolphins (2-5) take on Dorian Williams and the Buffalo Bills (6-2) on Sunday, November 3 at 1:00 PM (ET) on CBS. As you know, this has been a disastrous season for the Dolphins, thanks in large part to a concussion that sidelined starting QB Tua Tagovailoa for four games, prior to his return last week vs. the Cardinals. Despite Miami's subpar year, they are still alive in the playoff picture at this stage, sitting just two games back from a Wild Card spot. Miami has to WIN in order to keep their season alive. As for the Bills, the team is looking to capture their fifth consecutive AFC East title (2020-present). Josh Allen has provided Buffalo with consistent and solid quarterback play through eight games, throwing for 14 touchdowns and only tossing one interception so far. If Bills head coach Sean McDermott wins on Sunday, he will become the 13th head coach all-time to win 80 games in his first eight seasons as a head coach. 🎙 The iconic play-by-play commentator Kevin Harlan, analyst and former NFL quarterback Trent Green and sideline reporter Melanie Collins team up for Sunday's Dolphins-Bills call on CBS.

Rookie wide receiver Ladd McConkey and the Los Angeles Chargers (4-3) have a East Coast road game to play this week, as they confront Nick Chubb and the struggling Cleveland Browns (2-6) on Sunday, November 3 at 1:00 PM (ET) on CBS. The Chargers are one of three teams in the AFC West to have a winning record entering Week #9 with the undefeated Chiefs (7-0) and the 5-3 Broncos being the other two teams. The Chargers play the third of five games in the Eastern Time Zone this season (with two more coming up: Week 13 at the Falcons & Week 17 at the Patriots). Chargers LB Khalil Mack registered a sack last week during a dominant 26-8 win over the Saints. The Browns played with a heavy heart in Week 8, as the team competed in their first game without their legendary, iconic, and unmistakable voice Jim Donovan, who passed away on Saturday following a 24-year battle with leukemia (RIP, Jim 🕊). However, thanks to Browns QB Jameis Winston, the Browns pulled off a shocking upset over the Ravens, 29-24. 🎙 Play-by-play commentator Spero Dedes and analyst Adam Archuleta follow the action from the booth with reporter Aditi Kinkhabwala keeping viewers updated throughout the broadcast.

Two diabolical teams from the NFC South are set to clash in a mid-season game as Demario Davis and the New Orleans Saints (2-6) visit Miles Sanders and the Carolina Panthers (1-7) on Sunday, November 3 at 1:00 PM (ET) on CBS. The Saints are a poor football team, as the team has dropped six consecutive games following a 2-0 start. Injuries are certainly not helping their cause too much. Saints RB Alvin Kamara had 6 catches & 122 scrimmage yards (67 rushing, 55 receiving) vs. the Chargers in Week 8. For the Panthers, it's another lost season for a franchise struggling to find direction. Panthers CB Jaycee Horn has a career-high nine pass deflected & looks for his sixth straight matchup with at least one pass deflection. 🎙 Sunday's Saints-Panthers game is a national CBS broadcast, with Tom McCarthy (play-by-play), former NFL kicker Jay Feely (analyst) & Amanda Balionis (reporter) to set to cover the action live.

Later on, CBS will send out an NFL singleheader contest at 4:05 PM (ET) for certain stations/markets that must wait until that time period due to an early game (1:00 PM ET) on FOX. Two games will be scheduled for 4:05 PM (ET) starts on CBS this week, including Bears at Cardinals and Jaguars at Eagles. We will set you up for Jaguars-Eagles and Bears-Cardinals in future paragraphs.

2024 NFL Draft #1 overall pick Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears (4-3) will attempt to put last week's heartbreaking loss to the Commanders behind them as they head to the desert to match up with James Conner and the Arizona Cardinals (4-4) on Sunday, October 3 at 4:05 PM (ET) on CBS. We have two very surprising teams in the NFC clashing at State Farm Stadium this week. Following a bad 1-2 start, it seemed like the Bears had found their footing. Of course, last week, the Bears lost in the most devastating way possible - a 52-yard hail mary touchdown pass from Commanders QB Jayden Daniels to Commanders WR Noah Brown. Now, can Chicago bounce back and shake that one off? Jalen Thompson and the Cardinals, meanwhile, are finally catching some steam as the team has now won three of their past four games. This might seem crazy but the Cardinals are currently TIED (!!) for first place in the NFC West, so this game takes on an elevated significance for them. 🎙 Sunday's Bears-Cardinals game will be nationally televised on CBS, featuring the broadcast team of Ian Eagle (play-by-play), Charles Davis (analyst) & Evan Washburn (reporter).

Josh Hines-Allen (leads Jaguars with 3 sacks) and the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-6) hit the road this week to do battle with Brandon Graham and the Philadelphia Eagles (5-2), winners of three straight, on Sunday, November 3 at 4:05 PM (ET) on CBS. The Jaguars have been terrible on the road, dropping four road contests in 2024. The Jaguars are coming off a heartbreaking 30-27 loss to the Packers at EverBank Stadium last week. The Jaguars check in at No. 31 in terms of total defense, which is second worst in the NFL, only ahead of the Carolina Panthers. Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence has 11 passing touchdowns and four interceptions so far this season. The Eagles are flocking to new levels right now as the team looks for their fourth straight win, following wins over the Browns, Giants & Bengals. Eagles QB Jalen Hurts had 4 touchdowns last week in a 37-17 win over the Bengals (3 rushing, 1 passing). Eagles WR DeVonta Smith looks to catch a touchdown pass at home for the third straight time (Week 2 vs. Falcons & Week 6 vs. the Bengals). 🎙 CBS will televise Sunday's Jaguars-Eagles game, with Andrew Catalon handling play-by-play, Super Bowl champion Jason McCourty and former NFL running back Tiki Barber serving as co-analysts & AJ Ross reporting from the field.
