2019 MLB on FS1 Schedule

MLB on FS1 logo (Google Images)

FS1 is ready to begin 6th MLB season

FS1 forms one-half of FOX's MLB duo alongside the MLB broadcast network

FS1 coverage will now be on Saturdays (almost exclusively)

FS1 to Begin Coverage on Saturday, March 30th: Braves at Phillies (4 p.m., ET) and Giants at Padres (8:30 p.m., ET)

Diverse Schedule: FS1 to begin featuring more teams like the White Sox, Athletics, Phillies & Mets

Flex Scheduling: FS1 will have the ability to flex games in September

FS1, the home of Major League Baseball game action since its premiere back in 2014, is very excited to announce that they will be back for another season that is not too far away. FS1 will feature regular-season and postseason game telecasts and the MLB Whiparound studio show weeknights.

FS1 will begin to increase their showings of certain teams like the Oakland Athletics, Philadelphia Phillies, New York Mets, and the Chicago White Sox in order to bring those teams into the same playing field that other squads like the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox are in.

You will probably pick up real quick that FS1 has dropped most of their weeknight games. This is a result of a cost-cutting move as FOX tries to re-organize for the future (thus FS1 is involved this, too!).

FS1 will feed on a whole ecosystem of MLB games starting on the afternoon of Saturday, March 30th. Josh Donaldson and the Atlanta Braves will visit the City of Brotherly Love to take on Andrew McCutchen and the Philadelphia Phillies at 4:00 PM ET. Later that night, Pablo Sandoval and the San Francisco Giants take on Manny Machado and the San Diego Padres at 8:30 PM ET.

Keep in mind, starting this year, FS1 will intentionally leave the two last Saturdays in September (21st and 28th) open in order to bring in games that have postseason significance.

In addition, FS1 will be the home to the American League Division Series and the American League Championship Series once the postseason spawns in October.

FS1 will be your home for up to 40 regular-season games. Are you ready for some baseball?

Read on for a full breakdown of the 2019 MLB on FS1 schedule. Announcer assignments will be updated during the duration of the season.

FOX Set to Return to MLB Coverage for 24th Straight MLB Season

FOX to Broadcast Historic First MLB London Game Ever Between the Yankees and Red Sox on Saturday, June 29th (1:00 PM ET)

FOX to be Home of "Baseball Night in America", the 2019 MLB All-Star Game from Cleveland & 2019 World Series presented by YouTube TV

FOX to start MLB coverage on Saturday, May 18th with regional BNIA coverage at 7:00 PM: Cubs-Nationals, Brewers-Braves or Astros-Red Sox

FOX to debut new Thursday Night windows in September

FOX, the home of Major League Baseball since the 1996 season, will return for more coverage of America's pastime during the 2019 season. This season will be the 24th straight MLB season that the FOX broadcast network has provided coverage of the MLB. Just like the past 5 seasons (2014-2018), the FOX broadcast network will present a limited schedule of games. More on this in just a moment.

The FOX broadcast network will sign-on for another season with "Baseball Night in America" on the evening of Saturday, May 18th. Beginning at 7:00 PM ET, viewers can see one of three games: Milwaukee at Atlanta, Houston at Boston or Chicago Cubs at Washington. FOX will use the "BNIA" moniker for eight Saturday nights: May 18, May 25, June 1, June 8, June 22, July 29, July 6 & July 13.

On the afternoon of Saturday, June 29, FOX will go across the pond to showcase one's of baseball most intense rivalries with the inaugural MLB & MLB Present London Series 2019, the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox. The network's exclusive broadcast will be both on FOX and FOX Deportes.

Once the BNIA coverage on Saturday nights comes to an end, FOX will debut two new game windows on Thursday, September 12th and Thursday, September 19th at 7 p.m., ET. These will be airing in the primetime window, thus the BNIA will be used for those broadcasts. FOX will regionalize two games on either night. Those matchups will be determined by FOX once those dates draw nearer. FOX will televise an afternoon window on Saturday, September 28th, the final Saturday of the regular season.

FOX will, in addition, be home of the 2019 MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard from Cleveland's Progressive Field (Tuesday, July 9) and the 2019 World Series presented by YouTube TV (October) among other marquee regular season and postseason telecasts.

Now, what does the 2019 MLB on FOX schedule look like? FOX, as of now, is scheduled to carry 31 games this year. Which dates will your favorite MLB team appear (or national team) get some national recognition? Read on to find out.

The network will televise spring training, regular season and postseason games. This will mark their 30th season of providing picture and sound to baseball's yearly journey through the seasons.

The network will begin its coverage for this season with a pair of Spring Training games in early March. The first one will be the Pittsburgh Pirates at Boston Red Sox telecast from Fort Myers, Florida on Wednesday, March 6th at 1:00 PM. The second one will be the Minnesota Twins at Boston Red Sox telecast (again from Fort Myers) on Thursday, March 7th at 1:00 PM.

Then, the network's attention turns toward the regular season. The network will air two games from the Tokyo Dome in Japan to open up regular season play. On Wednesday, March 20th and Thursday, March 21st at 5:30 AM on both days, the Seattle Mariners will play the Oakland Athletics. Later on, ESPN will cover the "official" opening day for the remainder 28 MLB clubs on Thursday, March 28th: Orioles at Yankees (1 p.m., ET); Diamondbacks at Dodgers (4 p.m., ET) and the exclusive telecast of Red Sox at Mariners (7 p.m., ET).

You will notice that the "Sunday Night Baseball" telecasts will have a new earlier start time of 7 p.m for most games. So, check that out!

Throughout the season, the network will also be home to the Home Run Derby from Cleveland on Monday, July 8th in addition to the Legends & Softball Celebrity Game that will air afterward. Once the regular season is finished in September, the network will televise an American League Wild Card Game on the night of Tuesday, October 1st.
