MLB on Fox: On Deck — With playoffs nearing, Fox presents another Thursday edition of "Baseball Night in America" featuring regional coverage of Yankees vs. Orioles & Cubs vs. Reds | Thursday, September 18 beginning at 7:00 PM (ET) on Fox

Highlights of this week's MLB on Fox: On Deck article includes:
  • Fox's 30th season of MLB coverage continues on Thursday, September 18, with a Thursday night episode of "Baseball Night in America". This week, Fox will regionalize two games across the country, including Yankees vs. Orioles and Cubs vs. Reds. Game coverage kicks off at 7:00 PM (ET).
  • Divisional Clash In Baltimore: Aaron Judge and the New York Yankees resume their push towards the postseason against Gunnar Henderson and the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday, September 18, at 7:00 PM (ET) on Fox.
  • NL Central Collision From Cincinnati: Two NL Central rivals meet as Ian Happ and the Chicago Cubs take on Elly De La Cruz and the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday, September 18, at 7:00 PM (ET) on Fox.

With just two weeks left in the regular season, basically every game across Major League Baseball will have an impact on the postseason picture.

Fox intends to provide deserving playoff hopeful teams with national exposure in this week's edition of "Baseball Night in America." Due to Fox's college football commitments on Saturday, the MLB on Fox has been rescheduled from its usual Saturday primetime slot to Thursday night.

On Thursday, September 18, the MLB on Fox will focus on two divisional rivalries in particular. At 7:00 PM (ET), viewers will receive one of two game options on Fox. Austin Wells and the New York Yankees battle Jeremiah Jackson and the Baltimore Orioles, or Dansby Swanson and the Chicago Cubs compete head-to-head against Ke'Bryan Hayes and the Cincinnati Reds. Which game will you have the chance to enjoy this Thursday night on Fox, and who will be on the call? Read on to find out the answer to the previous question posed.

A couple of AL East foes square off in Baltimore as Jazz Chisholm Jr. and the New York Yankees visit Ryan Mountcastle and the Baltimore Orioles on Thursday, September 18, at 7:00 PM (ET) on Fox. Currently, the season series between New York and Baltimore is tied at 3-3. The Yankees & Orioles will play seven times during the final two weeks of the season. This series is meaningful for only one of these teams — the Yankees. New York is looking to pace with the Blue Jays for first place in the American League East. Since August 1, the Yankees have compiled a record of 23-17. The Yankees have been in second place in the American League East since Labor Day Weekend (Friday, August 29). There is no question that Yankees RF Aaron Judge is the heart and soul of this team. Judge's outstanding play has him in the American League MVP conversation. "The Judge" leads the team in batting average (.326), home runs (48), runs batted in (102), on-base percentage (.447), & hits (163). 🎤 TBD.

Pete Crow-Armstrong and the Chicago Cubs participate in National League Central play against Sal Stewart and the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday, September 18, at 7:00 PM (ET) on Fox. For the fourth and final time this season, the Cubs & Reds will match up. The Cubs hold a slim 5-4 series edge going into the final series. Chicago is comfortably in the postseason, even if the NL Central does not go their way. The Cubs are 86-64 as this week starts, which is good enough for the first NL Wild Card spot. Cincinnati, meanwhile, still has hope as the club tries to make the postseason for the first time since the COVID-19 shortened season in 2020 and for the first time in a full-length season since 2013. Can the Cubs unlock Pete Crow-Armstrong's full potential before the postseason? Something for you guys to monitor during this series. Reds SS Elly De La Cruz is a fantastic young player. However, it's been a while since De La Cruz went deep. His last home run was way back on July 31. Since that last home run, his batting average has been .206, which is absolutely abysmal. 🎤 TBD.
