The Bills return to the field following their bye week. In Buffalo's last game, they fell 24-14 to the Falcons on "Monday Night Football". Carolina, on the other hand, is feeling great after last week's 13-6 win on the road vs. the Jets. With a victory on Sunday, Bills QB Josh Allen can pass Hall of Fame quarterbacks Peyton Manning (80) and Ben Roethlisberger (80) for the fourth-most regular-season wins by a quarterback in his first eight seasons in NFL history. Bills (and former Panthers) LB Shaq Thompson led the team with 10 tackles vs. the Falcons in Week 6. Carolina, since Week 16 last season, has won four straight games at Bank of America Stadium. Despite a season filled with crippling injuries and loads of adversity, the 49ers handled the Falcons 20-10 last week on "Sunday Night Football". Houston is facing a short week and tons of questions after a 27-19 loss to the Seahawks on 'Monday Night Football" last week. 49ers star RB Christian McCaffrey racked up more than 200 yards from scrimmage and scored twice as San Francisco took down Atlanta 20-10 on October 19. 49ers S Ji'Ayir Brown had a season-high 5 tackles in Week 7. The Buccaneers have won five of their last six games against the Saints. 2025 World Series presented by Capital One: Television Schedule & Commentators

A picture showing the two clubs competing in the 2025 World Series presented by Capital One - the Toronto Blue Jays and the defending champion Los Angeles Dodgers. (📸 Photo courtesy of X)

| 🞙 Tuesday, October 21, 2025

Highlights for the 2025 World Series presented by Capital One include:
  • The 121st World Series features the American League champion Toronto Blue Jays taking on the National League champion Los Angeles Dodgers.
  • Fox exclusively televises the World Series for the 26th consecutive season.
  • First-ever postseason meeting between the Dodgers & Blue Jays! (DUH!)
  • Stars in this year's Fall Classic include Mookie Betts, Freddie Freeman, Shohei Ohtani, George Springer, Vladimir Guerrero Jr., and more.
  • Joe Davis & the Hall of Famer John Smoltz call the World Series for the fourth consecutive year, joined by reporters Ken Rosenthal & Tom Verducci.
  • The Blue Jays aim to win their first World Series title since 1993, while the Dodgers seek to become the first MLB club in 25 years to repeat as World Series champions.

We are ready for the 2025 World Series presented by Capital One! In this year's championship series, we will have Mookie Betts and the National League champion Los Angeles Dodgers battling Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and the American League champion Toronto Blue Jays to decide this year's MLB champion.

While Toronto has not been in the World Series in over three decades (since their consecutive runs in the early 1990s), the Dodgers are trying to become the first team to go back-to-back since the Yankees won three straight World Series titles between 1998 and 2000.

This Fall Classic highlights the contrasting expectations between the two teams vying for the Commissioner's Trophy. The Blue Jays completed a remarkable turnaround, going from last place in the AL East in 2024 to a World Series berth in 2025. In the case of Los Angeles, high standards are consistently maintained, given their team history and market size. The Dodgers enter their fifth World Series appearance since the 2017 season (more than any other National League franchise during this period).

The Rogers Centre will continue to resonate with excitement following the much-anticipated Toronto victory in Game 7 of the ALCS on Monday night (thanks to George Springer's heroics).

Meanwhile, the Dodgers will recount the remarkable event when P/DH Shohei Ohtani achieved the extraordinary feat of hitting three home runs and delivering six shutout innings with ten strikeouts, marking a historic conclusion to their impressive sweep of the Brewers in the National League Championship Series.

All games of the 2025 World Series presented by Capital One will start at 8:00 PM (ET) on Fox, with a one-hour pregame show preceding each game at 7:00 PM (ET). 🎙 In the broadcast booth, play-by-play announcer Joe Davis teams up with first-ballot Hall of Famer John Smoltz to describe the action in the Blue Jays vs. Dodgers World Series. Davis & Smoltz call the World Series for the fourth consecutive year. Additionally, Davis & Smoltz will be joined by dugout reporters Ken Rosenthal & Tom Verducci for additional insight and perspective throughout the series.

Plus, Fox will send their recognizable studio team on the road for pregame and postgame coverage during the World Series. Rogers Centre will be the site for the Blue Jays' home games in the World Series. Dodger Stadium will be the site for the Dodgers' home games in the World Series. Host Kevin Burkhardt is joined by Hall of Famers Derek Jeter and David Ortiz, plus World Series champion Alex Rodriguez.

This is the final round of MLB's 2025 Postseason. For additional information about the previous rounds of the playoffs, please check out the series of links that I have posted below.

A complete overview of the 2025 World Series is available below, including the series schedule and daily TV schedule to guide you through MLB's championship series.

Fox starts the day with "Fox NFL Kickoff presented by Little Caesars" at 11:00 AM ET on Fox. "Fox NFL Kickoff" showcases Charissa Thompson as the host, accompanied by Pro Football Hall of Famer and Super Bowl champion Charles Woodson, as well as three-time Super Bowl champion Julian Edelman. This program provides a preview of the day's NFL action, featuring one-on-one interviews with key NFL newsmakers, reports from NFL game venues, breaking news, and updates.

After "Fox NFL Kickoff" signs off, stay tuned for the legendary "Fox NFL Sunday presented by GMC" show at 12:00 PM ET on Fox. "Fox NFL Sunday" features a Pro Football Hall of Fame cast of legendary analysts. Veteran broadcaster Curt Menefee hosts alongside four-time Super Bowl champion Terry Bradshaw. Joining them on the desk are Pro Football Hall of Famers Howie Long and Michael Strahan, with four-time Super Bowl champion and four-time All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski appearing regularly throughout the season. Bradshaw and Long are original members from the inaugural 1994 season. NFL on Fox insider Jay Glazer joins the Fox NFL Sunday crew, delivering exclusive insights and breaking news across the league. In addition to the talent listed, the show has news, highlights, predictions, and insightful conversations.

Josh Metellus and the Minnesota Vikings (3-2) return from their two-game slate overseas for a pivotal NFC showcase vs. DeVonta Smith and the Philadelphia Eagles (4-2) on Sunday, October 19, at 1:00 PM ET on Fox, as play-by-play announcer Adam Amin and analyst and three-time Pro Bowl tight end Greg Olsen describe the action in the booth, with Pam Oliver reporting from the sidelines. Minnesota went 1-1 during its European excursion, falling 24-21 to the Steelers in Dublin, and beating Cleveland 21-17 in London. Philadelphia has dropped back-to-back games following a 4-0 start.

Rico Dowdle and the upstart Carolina Panthers (3-3) seek their fourth straight dub against Quinnen Williams and the winless New York Jets (0-6) on Sunday, October 19, at 1:00 PM ET on Fox, as Chris Myers joins three-time Super Bowl champion Mark Schlereth and Sarah Kustok to announce the interconference matchup. The Panthers upset the Cowboys, 30-27, last week in the Queen City, while the Jets continued their cold spell, losing 13-11 to the Broncos in London in Week 6. Carolina looks for their first road win of the season this week in the Meadowlands. Panthers WR Tetairoa (T-Mac) McMillan (rookie) racked up his first touchdowns as a professional athlete last week vs. the Cowboys. The Jets' defense allowed under 100 rushing yards in Week #6 vs. the Broncos. Jets DL Quinnen Williams has amassed 11 run stuffs (run tackles that result in no gain or a loss of yards) in 2025.

Rome Odunze and the Chicago Bears (3-2), following two straight on the road, return to Soldier Field to entertain Taysom Hill and the dismal New Orleans Saints (1-5) on Sunday, October 19, at 1:00 PM ET on Fox, with Kevin Kugler (play-by-play), three-time Super Bowl champion Daryl Johnston (analyst), & Allison Williams (reporter) on-site from Chicago. The Saints lost 25-19 to the Patriots last week, while the Bears bested the Commanders 25-24 on "Monday Night Football" last week. Saints QB Spencer Rattler went 20-for-26 for 227 yards with a 102.6 QB rating last week vs. the Patriots. Saints WR Chris Olave led the team with six receptions for 98 yards last week vs. the Patriots. A three-takeaway performance vs. the Commanders on Monday night puts Chicago at 12 takeaways for the season (the second most in the NFL). Bears RB D'Andre Swift had 175 scrimmage yards last week vs. Washington, including a fourth-quarter touchdown.

Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders (3-3) go up against Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys (2-3-1) on Sunday, October 19, at 4:25 PM ET on Fox, with Kevin Burkhardt (play-by-play), seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady (analyst), Erin Andrews (reporter), & Tom Rinaldi (reporter) calling this week's America's Game of the Week featured contest. George Pickens (DAL) posted a career-high 168 receiving yards in a 30-27 loss at Carolina in Week 6, while Washington lost to Chicago 25-24 on a walk-off field goal.

Matthew Golden and the Green Bay Packers (3-1-1) head out west to face Budda Baker and the Arizona Cardinals (2-4) on Sunday, October 19, at 4:25 PM ET on Fox, with commentary from Kenny Albert (play-by-play), Super Bowl champion Jonathan Vilma (analyst), & Jennifer Hale (reporter). Last week, the Packers picked up a 27-18 win over the Bengals. The Cardinals suffered a 31-27 loss to the Colts in Indianapolis last week. This is Green Bay's earliest visit to Arizona since September 2003. The Packers are 50-24-1 in conference games since 2019, a .673 winning percentage that ranks No. 1 in the NFC and No. 3 in the NFL (behind Kansas City, 55-20 [.733] & Buffalo, 52-23 [.693]). Cardinals QB Jacoby Brissett (filling in for the injured Kyler Murray) passed for 320 yards & 2 TDs vs. INT for 89.2 rating in Week 6, his 7th-career game with 300+ pass yards. Cardinals LB Baron Browning had his second sack of the season last week.

Following "America's Game of the Week", Fox wraps up their Week #7 coverage with "The OT presented by Ford" at 7:30 PM ET. Hosts Curt Menefee and Terry Bradshaw, joined by analysts Howie Long, Rob Gronkowski, Michael Strahan, and insider Jay Glazer, discuss what happened during Sunday's early and late afternoon windows.

Welcome to the Week #7 edition of the "NFL on CBS: Field Pass"! In this edition, we will preview the broadcast schedule for the NFL on CBS this Sunday, provide game previews for each matchup, and share the distribution splits so you can see which game will be available in each market. Let's get started!

This Sunday, October 19, CBS Sports has a Week #7 singleheader scheduled. Viewers will either get a 1:00 PM ET game or a 4:05 PM ET game, depending on their location. The five-game lineup on CBS in Week #7 includes Raiders-Chiefs, Patriots-Titans, Dolphins-Browns, Colts-Chargers, & Giants-Broncos. Which game will you be watching on CBS this Sunday, and who will be announcing the action? Read on to find out.

Get ready for Sunday's Week #7 action with "The NFL Today presented by RAM Trucks" at 12:00 PM ET on CBS. James Brown hosts the one-hour program with a full cast of analysts, including Pro Football Hall of Fame head coach Bill Cowher, 11-year veteran Nate Burleson, and 2016 NFL MVP Matt Ryan. Lead CBS Sports insider Jonathan Jones joins to provide the latest news and information around the National Football League. "The NFL Today" features highlights, analysis, and updates across the NFL landscape.

Two longtime AFC West division foes confront each other this week as Ashton Jeanty (rookie) and the Las Vegas Raiders (2-4) take on Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs (3-3) on Sunday, October 19, at 1:00 PM ET on CBS, as the lead team of play-by-play commentator Jim Nantz, analyst and former NFL quarterback Tony Romo, and sideline reporter Tracy Wolfson provide commentary. The Raiders defeated the Titans, 20-10, last week at Allegiant Stadium. Kansas City was able to vanquish Detroit, 30-17, on NBC's "Sunday Night Football" in Week #6. Raiders DE Maxx Crosby currently leads the NFL with 10 tackles for loss in 2025. On passes of 20+ air yards, Raiders WR Tre Tucker has four receptions for 148 yards and two touchdowns on six targets. Since he was drafted in 2022, Chiefs DE George Karlaftis is tied for the most passes defensed (16) in the NFL among all defensive ends. Chiefs CB Trent McDuffie has 4.5 sacks as a cornerback. With two more, he would be tied for the most sacks by a cornerback in Chiefs history.

DeMario Douglas and the New England Patriots (4-2) look to continue their recent hot stretch against Calvin Ridley and the hapless Tennessee Titans (1-5) on Sunday, October 19, at 1:00 PM ET on CBS, as Andrew Catalon (play-by-play) teams up with Super Bowl champion Jason McCourty, fellow analyst Charles Davis, and sideline reporter AJ Ross for the call. The Patriots come off a 25-19 win over the Saints last week. The Titans, meanwhile, dropped last week's contest 20-10 to the Raiders in Las Vegas. The Patriots play on the road for the third consecutive week. Patriots CB/punt returner Marcus Jones has returned 67 punts for 977 yards, a 14.6-yard average. He needs eight returns to qualify for the highest punt return average in NFL history. Titans LB Dre'Mont Jones had his first sack of the season last week vs. the Raiders. Titans WR Van Jefferson paced the club with 75 receiving yards last week vs. the Raiders.

Darren Waller and the Miami Dolphins (1-5) have an AFC conference game on the slate this week as they play David Njoku and the Cleveland Browns (1-5) on Sunday, October 19, at 1:00 PM ET on CBS, as Spero Dedes, Adam Archuleta, and Aditi Kinkhabwala lead the broadcast efforts. The Dolphins were beaten by the Chargers, 29-27, last week, featuring a very close scoreline. The Browns were dismantled 23-9 by the Steelers last week in Pittsburgh. If Miami wins this Sunday, Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa would earn his 40th career win. Dolphins LB Jordyn Brooks leads the NFL with 66 tackles entering Week 7. Browns DE Myles Garrett is tied for fourth in the NFL this year with eight tackles for loss, plus four sacks. Browns TE David Njoku's 31 receiving touchdowns are the most by a Browns player since the franchise was reactivated back in 1999.

This AFC showdown from SoFi Stadium serves as the "marquee" game for Week #7 as Daniel Jones and the Indianapolis Colts (5-1) head to SoFi Stadium for this pivotal conference game against Tarheeb Still and the Los Angeles Chargers (4-2) on Sunday, October 19, at 1:00 PM ET on CBS, featuring play-by-play commentator Ian Eagle, analyst and three-time Defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt, and reporter Evan Washburn. The Colts narrowly defeated the Cardinals 31-27 last Sunday, while the Chargers squeezed past the Dolphins 29-27 thanks to a late Cameron Dicker field goal. The Colts enter Week 7 with the best record in the AFC and have won at least five of their first six games for the first time since 2009. The Colts lead the NFL in scoring offense (32.3 points per game). Colts RB Jonathan Taylor leads the league with 603 rushing yards and eight scrimmage touchdowns this season. Chargers QB Justin Herbert had two touchdown passes and a 112.2 passer rating last week. Herbert joined Patrick Mahomes (44 games) and Russell Wilson (36 games) as the only players with at least two touchdown passes and a passer rating of 100-or-higher in 35 games in their first six seasons in NFL history. Chargers OLB Odafe Oweh recorded his first career sack last season vs. the Dolphins.

Evan Engram and the Denver Broncos (4-2) try for a fourth straight victory as they host Dexter Lawrence and the New York Giants (2-4) on Sunday, October 19, at 4:05 PM ET on CBS, with Kevin Harlan (play-by-play), former NFL quarterback Trent Green (analyst), & Melanie Collins (sidelines). The Broncos recorded nine sacks in a 13-11 nail-biter over the Jets in London in Week 6. The Giants have won two of their last three following a 34-17 upset of Philadelphia last week on "Thursday Night Football".
