Hi, everyone! Welcome to the Week #6 edition of the "NFL on Fox: Field Pass"! Roughly a third of the way through this 106th NFL season, Fox presents regional coverage throughout the afternoon on Sunday, October 12. Additionally, Fox will also carry Game 1 of the American League Championship Series at 8:00 PM (ET).
On Sunday, Fox has five games on their network. The games include Rams-Ravens (1:00 PM ET), Cardinals-Colts (1:00 PM ET), Seahawks-Jaguars (1:00 PM ET), Cowboys-Panthers (1:00 PM ET), & Titans-Raiders (4:05 PM ET). This week's article will discuss this Sunday's NFL game action on Fox and the distribution splits for each game. With that in mind, let's jump right into the content.
Sunday's Week #6 NFL coverage on Fox begins with "Fox NFL Kickoff presented by Little Caesars" at 11:00 AM ET. Charissa Thompson hosts "Fox NFL Kickoff" alongside a pair of analysts who made a legendary impact on the field — Pro Football Hall of Famer Charles Woodson and three-time Super Bowl champion Julian Edelman. "Fox NFL Kickoff" offers a preview of the day's NFL action, including interviews with NFL newsmakers, reports from NFL game venues, breaking news, and updates.
The two-hour live programming block for Week #6 on Fox continues with "Fox NFL Sunday presented by GMC" at 12:00 PM ET. Veteran broadcaster Curt Menefee hosts the iconic pregame show alongside four-time Super Bowl champion and Hall of Famer Terry Bradshaw. Joining them on the desk are Pro Football Hall of Famers Howie Long and Michael Strahan, with four-time Super Bowl champion and four-time All-Pro tight end Rob Gronkowski making regular appearances throughout the season. Bradshaw and Long are original cast members from the show's 1994 debut. Lead NFL on Fox insider Jay Glazer delivers exclusive insight and breaking news from around the league. "Fox NFL Sunday" features interviews, analysis, predictions, and breaking news.
Quentin Lake and the Los Angeles Rams (3-2) make the journey out to the East Coast this weekend to compete against Kyle Hamilton and the Baltimore Ravens (1-4) on Sunday, October 12, at 1:00 PM ET on Fox, with the NFL on Fox's lead crew of play-by-play commentator Kevin Burkhardt, analyst and seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady, and reporters Erin Andrews & Tom Rinaldi on the broadcast call. The Rams are coming off a tough overtime loss to the 49ers, 26-23, last Thursday night. The Ravens crushed the Texans last week, 44-10 at home. Los Angeles desperately needs to hit the reset button as the club looks for an important win over a struggling Ravens team that is ravaged by injuries to key players. Rams QB Matthew Stafford leads the NFL in passing, meaning that Stafford can throw the ball effectively. The Ravens are 6-1 vs. the Rams, including an overtime win in 2023 when the teams last met. The Ravens are stumbling. The Ravens have lost three straight games. Baltimore needs a win, and they need one right now to salvage their season to a certain extent.
Xavier Legette and the Carolina Panthers (2-3) host Javonte Williams and the Dallas Cowboys (2-2-1) on Sunday, October 12, at 1:00 PM ET on Fox, as Adam Amin, former Panthers tight end Greg Olsen, & Pam Oliver announce the NFC matchup. Dak Prescott's four TD passes led the Cowboys past the Jets, 37-22, in Week 5. The Panthers erased a 17-0 deficit to come back and beat the Dolphins 27-24. Former Cowboy RB Rico Dowdle ran for 206 yards and a score in the win.
Defense is the main headline in this Week #6 interconference confrontation as Leonard Williams and the Seattle Seahawks (3-2) play Josh Hines-Allen and the Jacksonville Jaguars (4-1) on Sunday, October 12, at 1:00 PM ET on Fox, called by Chris Myers (play-by-play), Mark Schlereth (analyst), and Sarah Kustok (reporter). The Seahawks, after last week's 38-35 loss to the Buccaneers, are looking to get back on track. The Jaguars defeated the Chiefs 31-28 on "Monday Night Football" last week. With a win on Sunday, Seattle would claim victory in nine straight games away from Lumen Field in Seattle. Seahawks K Jason Myers needs 46 points to pass Norm Johnson to become Seattle's all-time points scored leader with 811 points. The Jaguars have scored 127 points through 5 games, averaging 25.4 points per game. Jaguars LB Devin Lloyd, who won AFC Defensive Player of the Month for September, picked off Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes and returned it 99 yards for a touchdown last week.
Marvin Harrison Jr. and the Arizona Cardinals (2-3) participate in an interconference game against Nick Cross and the Indianapolis Colts (4-1) on Sunday, October 12, at 1:00 PM ET on Fox, with commentary from play-by-play announcer Kevin Kugler, analyst and three-time Super Bowl champion Daryl "Moose" Johnston, and sideline reporter Allison Williams. Last week, the Cardinals blew a 15-point lead in the fourth quarter and lost 22-21 to the Titans. In Week #5, the Colts demolished the Raiders 40-6 at Lucas Oil Stadium. The Cardinals are traveling to Indianapolis for the first time since the 2017 season. In five games with Arizona, LB Josh Sweat has 12 tackles, 5.0 sacks, 7 QB hits, 6 tackles for loss, 2 forced fumbles, and a pass defensed. The Colts rank fourth in the NFL in first-down efficiency, with 54.2 percent of their first-down plays gaining four or more yards. Colts DT DeForest Buckner is one of just two players in the NFL to register at least 6.5 sacks the past seven seasons (2018-24), with Browns DE Myles Garrett being the other one.
Tyler Lockett and the Tennessee Titans (1-4) travel to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas for the very first time to face Geno Smith and the Las Vegas Raiders (1-4) on Sunday, October 12, at 4:05 PM ET on Fox, with Kenny Albert, Jonathan Vilma, & Megan Olivi. Last week, the Titans had a thrilling comeback win, as they toppled the Cardinals 22-21 in come-from-behind fashion. The Raiders were trounced in Indianapolis last week, 40-6. The Titans play on the West Coast for the second straight weekend, after last week's visit to Glendale, Arizona. No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward FINALLY has his first professional football win under his belt. Raiders DE Maxx Crosby has played in 100 games since he entered the NFL back in 2019. With one receiving touchdown Sunday, Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty (rookie) would get his third career receiving touchdown.
