Highlights for the Week 1 edition of the "NFL on Fox: Field Pass" include:

• Welcome back to a new season of the NFL on Fox! Fox gets the ball rolling on their 32nd NFL season of coverage with a Week 1 singleheader on Sunday, September 7, with viewers receiving either an early 1:00 PM ET game or a late 4:05 PM ET game. Six games are on the docket for Fox's opening weekend, including — Giants at Commanders (1:00 PM ET), Buccaneers at Falcons (1:00 PM ET), Panthers at Jaguars (1:00 PM ET), Bengals at Browns (1:00 PM ET), 49ers at Seahawks (4:05 PM ET, late), & Titans at Broncos (4:05 PM ET, late).

• Kevin Burkhardt, Tom Brady, Erin Andrews, & Tom Rinaldi start their second year as the lead broadcast team with the Giants vs. Commanders matchup at 1:00 PM ET.

• Allison Williams makes her NFL debut as a game reporter, joining Kevin Kugler and three-time Super Bowl champion Daryl "Moose" Johnston for Bengals vs. Browns at 1:00 PM ET.

• The newly revamped "Fox NFL Kickoff" and "Fox NFL Sunday" crews offer two hours of pregame coverage starting at 11:00 AM ET.

• 2025 No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward (Titans, @ Broncos) & 2025 No. 2 overall pick Travis Hunter (Jaguars, vs. Panthers) expected to make NFL debuts this Sunday on Fox.

The NFL is finally back, and so is the NFL on Fox, kicking off its 32nd season! This Sunday, September 7, Fox will provide comprehensive coverage of Week 1, featuring an exciting lineup of divisional rivalries, the debuts of several 2025 NFL Draft picks, and the start of the regular season.

Fox will regionally televise games across the country during this single-header weekend. In the early 1:00 PM ET window, you can catch the following matchups: Giants at Commanders, Buccaneers at Falcons, Bengals at Browns, and Panthers at Jaguars. In the late 4:05 PM ET window, tune in for the 49ers at Seahawks and the Titans at the Broncos.

Pregame coverage begins at 11:00 AM ET on Fox with the season premiere of "Fox NFL Kickoff". Veteran host Charissa Thompson anchors the one-hour program from Los Angeles, joined by Hall of Famer Charles Woodson and three-time Super Bowl champion Julian Edelman. Additionally, contributors Colin Cowherd and Cooper Manning will provide features for the program. "Fox NFL Kickoff" offers a preview of the day's NFL action, including interviews with NFL newsmakers, reports from NFL game venues, breaking news, and updates.

Then, stay tuned for the 32nd season premiere of "Fox NFL Sunday" — America's most-watched pregame program since the series' 1994 debut — at 12:00 PM ET on Fox. Once again, "Fox NFL Sunday" is led by co-hosts Curt Menefee and four-time Super Bowl champion Terry Bradshaw. Joining them at the desk are Pro Football Hall of Fame analysts Howie Long and Michael Strahan. Four-time Super Bowl champion Rob Gronkowski will transition to a full-time position on the show, replacing the retiring Jimmy Johnson. Insider Jay Glazer is back to provide "insider" information for the 19th consecutive season. The iconic and beloved pregame show, which began alongside Fox's NFL coverage in 1994, prepares viewers for Sunday NFL games with news, highlights, predictions, and feature interviews.

Malik Nabers and the New York Giants duel with 2024 Offensive Rookie of the Year Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders in this 2025 season opener featuring NFC East clubs on Sunday, September 7 at 1:00 PM ET on Fox. Last season, the Giants finished with a poor 3-14 record (which was tied with the Browns & Titans for the worst record in the league). A season ago, Washington had a Cinderella season, going 12-5 and advancing all the way to the NFC Championship Game, before losing to the eventual Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. Giants WR Malik Nabers had a solid rookie season for New York in 2024, hauling in 109 passes for 1,204 yards and collecting seven touchdowns. Commanders QB Jayden Daniels threw for 25 touchdowns against nine interceptions in 2024, winning Offensive Rookie of the Year and leading Washington to its first NFC Championship Game appearance since the 1991 season. 🎤 Sunday's Giants at Commanders game on Fox features the lead broadcast team of Kevin Burkhardt (play-by-play), seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady (analyst), Erin Andrews (reporter), & Tom Rinaldi (reporter).

Lavonte David and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are set to kick off the 2025 season with an NFC South matchup against Bijan Robinson and the Atlanta Falcons. This game will take place on Sunday, September 7, at 1:00 PM Eastern Time and will be broadcast on Fox. Last year, Tampa Bay won its fourth straight NFC South title with a 10-7 record. Tampa Bay would lose to Washington in the Wild Card Round. In 2024, the Falcons finished the season with an 8-9 record, which saw the team on the outside looking in as far as the NFC playoff picture was concerned. Buccaneers WR Mike Evans is tied with Pro Football Hall of Famer Jerry Rice for most consecutive 1,000-yard seasons in NFL history with 11. If Evans compiles at least 1,000 yards this season, he will have the record for most consecutive 1,000-yard seasons in NFL history. In 3 career starts, Falcons QB Michael Penix Jr. has 4 TDs (3 pass, 1 rush). 🎤 Play-by-play announcer Kenny Albert, who is starting his 32nd season covering NFL on Fox games (and is the only remaining pxp person from the inaugural NFL on Fox season in 1994), works alongside analyst and Super Bowl champion Jonathan Vilma for the sixth straight season. Megan Olivi is now in her second full season as an NFL sideline reporter.

Tee Higgins and the Cincinnati Bengals start their season with the "Battle of Ohio" vs. 2023 NFL Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett and the Cleveland Browns on Sunday, September 7 at 1:00 PM ET on Fox. Despite a five-game winning streak to end last season, the Bengals just missed the postseason with a 9-8 record. Cincinnati has not made the postseason since the 2022 season. The Browns look to improve following a forgettable 3-14 season in 2024. The Bengals are once again led by two-time QB Joe Burrow. In 2024, Burrow set single-season Bengals records in completions (460), passing yards (4,918), and touchdown passes (43). Browns TE David Njoku led the team with five receiving touchdowns last season. 🎤 Kevin Kugler (play-by-play) is paired alongside analyst and three-time Super Bowl champion Daryl "Moose" Johnston and reporter Allison Williams, making her NFL sideline reporter debut (replacing Laura Okmin, who left Fox following the 2024 season).

Jaycee Horn and the Carolina Panthers travel to Jacksonville to get the 2025 season underway against 2025 No. 2 overall draft pick Travis Hunter (expected to make his NFL debut) and the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, September 7, at 1:00 PM ET on Fox. The Panthers are coming off a rough 2024, going 5-12 and missing the postseason. The Jaguars want to move on from their disappointing 2024 season, as the team finished with a 4-13 record. After a career season in 2024, the Panthers rewarded CB Jaycee Horn with a 4-year, $100 million deal, which made him the highest-paid defensive back in the NFL at the time. Jaguars DE Josh Hines-Allen, who starts his fifth season as a team captain, is just 2.5 sacks away from becoming the new all-time sacks leader in Jaguars history. Hines-Allen has 53 sacks as the 2025 season opens up. 🎤 Play-by-play announcer Chris Myers, game analyst and three-time Super Bowl champion Mark Schlereth, and veteran reporter Jen Hale will call the Panthers vs. Jaguars game for Fox on Sunday.

Christian McCaffrey and the San Francisco 49ers compete in an NFC West opening week game against Julian Love and the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday, September 7, at 4:05 PM ET on Fox. Following a Super Bowl loss to the Chiefs in 2023, San Francisco crumbled in 2024, going 6-11 and finishing well short of expectations. Meanwhile, the Seahawks played well in 2024, going 10-7, but didn't make the postseason due to losing the NFC West tiebreaker to the Rams. Since entering the NFL in 2018, 49ers LB Fred Warner has racked up 10 sacks, 10 INT's and 15 FF's, making him one of two players to put up 10 or more sacks, 10 or more interceptions, and 15 or more forced fumbles during this time period (LB Shaquille Leonard [formerly went by Darius as his first name] - 16.0 sacks, 12 INT's, 17 FFs). Seahawks DE Leonard Williams (11 sacks last year) became the first Seahawks player with double-digit sacks since Frank Clark and Jarren Reed in 2018. 🎤 Multi-sport play-by-play commentator Joe Davis teams up with analyst and three-time Pro Bowl tight end Greg Olsen in the booth, with veteran reporter Pam Oliver roaming the sidelines.

Amani Hooker and the Tennessee Titans kick off their regular season against Courtland Sutton and the Denver Broncos on Sunday, September 7, at 4:05 PM ET on Fox. The Titans had an embarrassing campaign in 2024, going 3-14. Meanwhile, the Broncos surprised plenty of football experts last season, finishing with a 10-7 record and making the playoffs for the first time since 2015. The Broncos were ousted by the Bills in the Wild Card Game. Titans QB Cam Ward (rookie) became the first No. 1 overall pick by the Titans/Oilers franchise since legendary RB Earl Campbell was drafted No. 1 overall pick by the then-Houston Oilers in 1978. Broncos QB Bo Nix begins his second campaign as the Broncos' QB1. Last year, Nix played in all 17 regular-season games for the Broncos. Nix passed for 3,775 yards and 29 touchdowns with 12 interceptions. 🎙 The game, which is slated for a 4:05 PM ET start on Fox, has Adam Amin (play-by-play), former NFL quarterback Mark Sanchez (analyst), & Kristina Pink (reporter) on the call.

• CBS kicks off its 66th season of the "NFL on CBS" with an exciting Week 1 doubleheader on Sunday, September 7, headlined by the NFC North showdown between the Lions and Packers (4:25 PM ET).

• "The NFL Today" sets the table for Week #1 with a special edition live from Green Bay at 12:00 PM (ET), featuring the cast of James Brown, Nate Burleson, Matt Ryan, Bill Cowher, & Jonathan Jones.

Yessir! Football Sundays are back! With that in mind, the NFL on CBS is set to activate its 66th season of providing television coverage for the NFL, beginning this Sunday, September 7. In the first week, CBS will kick off the season with a doubleheader that promises to captivate fans and keep them engaged in front of their televisions throughout the entire afternoon. Plus, "The NFL Today" hits the road to launch the new NFL season, as the legendary pregame show will be broadcasting live from Green Bay ahead of the huge Lions vs. Packers opening week game (12:00 PM ET).

CBS has six games on its opening week docket. To start the doubleheader at 1:00 PM ET, stations will have the option to pick one of these four games — Steelers at Jets, Dolphins at Colts, Raiders at Patriots, & Cardinals at Saints. Later, in the national 4:25 PM ET window, most of the country will be receiving the Lions at Packers game. Select audiences will see C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans visit Davante Adams and the Los Angeles Rams in the season opener.

Before the games kick off, CBS will air a one-hour pregame show called "The NFL Today". The iconic pregame show has been a Sunday staple for 50 years. This week, "The NFL Today" hits the road to preview one of the marquee Week 1 matchups. The show is heading to Green Bay, Wisconsin, ahead of the Lions vs. Packers matchup (4:25 PM ET). Starting at 12:00 PM ET, "The NFL Today" gives viewers a preview of the upcoming action, feature stories with notable newsmakers, and a chance to hear last-minute injury updates. Veteran studio host James Brown hosts the program live from Green Bay, alongside 11-year NFL veteran Nate Burleson, 2016 NFL MVP Matt Ryan, and Hall of Fame coach Bill Cowher. Jonathan Jones rounds out the team as the lead NFL insider.

New Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers goes up against a familiar opponent as the Pittsburgh Steelers play their first 2025 regular season game against Jets QB Justin Fields and the New York Jets on Sunday, September 7 at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. The Steelers finished last season with a 10-7 record, obtaining a Wild Card spot in the AFC. The Steelers eventually lost to the Ravens in the Wild Card Game. The Jets, meanwhile, try to bounce back following a dismal 5-12 campaign in 2024. The Jets look to make the playoffs for the first time since 2010. Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers spent 2023 & 2024 in New York, posting a 6-12 record. Additionally, Rodgers tore his Achilles tendon in the opening game of the 2023 season. Jets QB Justin Fields is expected to make his Jets starting QB debut in this game. Last year, Fields went 4-2 as the starting quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers before being replaced by Russell Wilson. 🎤 Play-by-play commentator Ian Eagle, analyst and three-time Defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt, and sideline reporter Evan Washburn provide commentary.

Minkah Fitzpatrick and the Miami Dolphins begin the regular season against Kenny Moore II and the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, September 7, at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. The Dolphins are coming off a subpar 8-9 season in 2024. The Colts also finished 8-9 during the 2024 campaign. Both teams would miss the playoffs, meaning that both sides start their quest to return to the playoffs in 2025. Dolphins S Minkah Fitzpatrick returns to his original team, the one that drafted him, following more than 5 seasons in Pittsburgh. Sunday will see veteran QB Daniel Jones receive his first starting nod as the Colts' QB1. Jones has previously played for the Giants & Vikings. 🎙 Dolphins-Colts Sunday on CBS will have commentary from Andrew Catalon (play-by-play), Charles Davis (analyst), Super Bowl champion Jason McCourty (analyst), & AJ Ross (reporter).

Jeremy Chinn and the Las Vegas Raiders travel east for this season opener against Stefon Diggs and the New England Patriots on Sunday, September 7, at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. Unfortunately, both teams missed the 2024 playoffs with bad 4-13 records. With that in mind, the Raiders & Patriots are certainly ready to write new chapters in 2025. Former Patriots linebacker and three-time Super Bowl champion Mike Vrabel is set to make his debut as the Patriots' head coach this Sunday when New England hosts Las Vegas at Gillette Stadium. Speaking of debuts, Super Bowl champion Pete Carroll returns to the NFL sidelines following a one-year absence to take over the Raiders head coaching job, following the dismissal of former head coach Antonio Pierce last season. 🎤 Sunday's Raiders-Patriots broadcast on CBS features play-by-play announcer Spero Dedes, analyst and former NFL safety Adam Archuleta, and sideline reporter Aditi Kinkhabwala.

Cameron Jordan and the New Orleans Saints host Kyler Murray and the visiting Arizona Cardinals in the opener for both squads on Sunday, September 7, at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. Last year, both Arizona and New Orleans missed out on the postseason. The Cardinals posted a disappointing 8-9 record while the Saints finished with a dreadful 5-12 mark. The Cardinals are making their first visit to New Orleans since 2019 (which was before the pandemic even happened). Arizona hopes to once again have a good offense, with QB Kyler Murray, WR Marvin Harrison Jr., RB James Conner, and more pulling the trigger. Kellen Moore begins his time as the Saints head coach following a year as the Philadelphia Eagles defensive coordinator, helping them win Super Bowl LIX. Saints DE Cameron Jordan begins his 15th year with the Saints. 🎤 Play-by-play announcer Tom McCarthy, analyst and two-time Super Bowl champion Logan Ryan, analyst and former NFL offensive lineman Ross Tucker, and sideline reporter Tiffany Blackmon have the call for Sunday's Cardinals at Saints game on CBS.

Jahmyr Gibbs and the Detroit Lions start their mission of a third consecutive NFC North championship with a Week 1 showdown against Keisean Nixon and the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, September 7, at 4:25 PM ET on CBS. The Lions captured the NFC North title in 2024 with an impressive 15-2 record. However, Detroit was SHOCKED by the Commanders in the divisional round of the playoffs. In the 2024 season, the Packers finished with a record of 11 wins and 6 losses, which secured them a Wild Card spot in the playoffs. However, their journey came to an end when they were defeated by the Philadelphia Eagles in the Wild Card Round. The Lions posted back-to-back seasons with at least 10 wins for the first time in their franchise history, and set a new franchise record with 15 regular-season wins in 2024. The Packers recently pulled off a blockbuster trade to acquire four-time Pro Bowl defensive lineman Micah Parsons from the Dallas Cowboys. Parsons is expected to make his Packers debut during this matchup. 🎤 Play-by-play announcer Jim Nantz, analyst and former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, and field reporter Tracy Wolfson start their ninth season as the lead NFL on CBS broadcast team.

C.J. Stroud leads the visiting Houston Texans into this interconference game vs. Quentin Lake and the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, September 7, at 4:25 PM ET on CBS. The Texans were the top dawgs in the AFC South in 2024, finishing 10-7. Houston fell to the three-time defending AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional Round. The Rams, merely off tiebreakers, finished above the Seahawks to take the NFC West division in 2024 with a 10-7 record. Los Angeles defeated Minnesota in the Wild Card Game before losing to the Super Bowl champion Eagles in the Divisional Round. Texans QB C.J. Stroud is set to play near his hometown of Rancho Cucamonga, California, for the first time in his professional career. Rams WR Davante Adams makes his Rams debut after splitting last season with the Raiders & Jets. 🎤 In the booth, established play-by-play man Kevin Harlan and analyst and former NFL quarterback Trent Green call the action, with reporter Melanie Collins handling the sidelines.

• Fox starts their September MLB regular season coverage with "Baseball Night in America" on Saturday, September 6, with regional coverage of the following games beginning at 7:00 PM ET — Astros at Rangers, Giants at Cardinals, & Twins at Royals.

• "Lone Star Series" between Astros and Rangers is highlighted on this week's "Baseball Night in America".

• Giants battle Cardinals as both clubs fight to stay in Wild Card contention.

The 30th season of the MLB on Fox continues Saturday, September 6, with another edition of "Baseball Night of America" at 7:00 PM ET. With less than one month left in the regular season, every game is pivotal for contenders across the American and National Leagues. You can see some of these teams as part of Fox's Saturday slate. Viewers will watch one of three games on Fox this Saturday — Astros vs. Rangers, Giants vs. Cardinals, or Twins vs. Royals. Check your local listings or refer to this article to find out which game will be broadcast in your area.

Jose Altuve and the Houston Astros resume their chase for a fifth consecutive American League West title against Wyatt Langford and the Texas Rangers on Saturday, September 6, at 7:00 PM ET on Fox. This is the third time that Houston & Texas are pitted against each other. The Rangers hold a slim 4-3 series lead while outscoring the Astros 28-20. Two years removed from a classic seven-game ALCS between the clubs, can both Texas teams make the postseason in 2025? There is a realistic chance of that being the case. This series is vital for both teams, as the Astros and Rangers must prove they can close the deal and earn a spot in the 2025 MLB Postseason. Houston looks to fend off Julio Rodríguez and the Seattle Mariners in the American League West race. Texas, on the other hand, is just one game behind Seattle for the final spot in the playoffs. A series win for the Rangers (along with some help from the Braves) could significantly alter the AL Wild Card situation. Pretty remarkable that 35-year-old Jose Altuve is still doing it. The Astros have been blessed to have this man for a decade and a half. Obviously, Altuve is a future first-ballot Hall of Famer. Jose leads the team in home runs (24) and hits (141). 🎤 Play-by-play commentator Wayne Randazzo teams up with analyst and Hall of Famer John Smoltz and reporter Ken Rosenthal for Astros vs. Rangers.

Rafael Devers and the San Francisco Giants travel to St. Louis for a National League contest against Masyn Winn and the St. Louis Cardinals [with both teams fighting to keep hope alive for a playoff spot] on Saturday, September 6 at 7:00 PM ET on Fox. Yes, this is the first meeting between these teams, and the regular season concludes soon. Last year, the Cardinals dominated the season series vs. the Giants, taking five of the six games. St. Louis outscored San Francisco 37-22 across the six matchups. As you guys know, time is running out for San Francisco and St. Louis to make a run towards a postseason berth. Both teams are chasing the Cincinnati Reds while also looking up at the New York Mets, the current holder of the final Wild Card spot in the National League. Things become more difficult with a series defeat here. Giants shortstop Willy Adames is coming off a prolific month of August, blasting nine of his 26 home runs (which leads the team) during that month. 🎤 Play-by-play commentator Alex Faust and analyst Eric Karros provide commentary for Giants vs. Cardinals.

A couple of American League Central teams get together when Byron Buxton and the Minnesota Twins play Bobby Witt Jr. and the Kansas City Royals, going after the final Wild Card spot in the American League, on Saturday, September 6, at 7:00 PM ET on Fox. The Twins and Royals wrap up their regular season series with this three-game series from Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City. Things look bleak for Minnesota, as they are fading from the playoff picture. Barring a miracle, this Twins ball club will be missing the postseason for the second consecutive season. Meanwhile, things are more optimistic and upbeat for Kansas City, as the team tries to return to the postseason for the second straight year, following their surprising run to the playoffs last year (after a nine-year absence). Kansas City trails Seattle by two and a half games for the last berth in the American League postseason. However, the Royals and Mariners are scheduled to play a three-game series in Kansas City later on this month. Royals first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino has provided a shot in the arm for a team that needs somebody to step up. He paces the club in home runs (28) and RBI (95). 🎤 Cory Provus calls play-by-play for Twins-Royals alongside analyst and World Series champion Dontrelle Willis.

• Established NBA on ESPN commentator Tim Legler joins Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer Mike Breen, 2016 NBA Champion Richard Jefferson, and reporter Lisa Salters to create a new lead broadcast team.

• ESPN reaches multi-year deals with NBA analysts Richard Jefferson and Doris Burke. Burke now becomes the lead analyst for the "NBA Sunday Showcase" franchise, working marquee regular-season Sunday afternoon games in addition to NBA Playoff assignments.

Earlier this week, ESPN revealed its commentator lineup for the upcoming 2025-26 NBA season. Longtime ESPN NBA analyst Tim Legler gets the call to join Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame play-by-play commentator Mike Breen, analyst and 2016 NBA Champion Richard Jefferson, and sideline reporter Lisa Salters on the lead broadcast team.

Breen, Jefferson, Legler, and Salters will call the 2026 NBA Finals on ABC, a Conference Finals series, marquee first-round and second-round playoff games, a Christmas Day game, and NBA Saturday Primetime on ABC — the national NBA game of the week. Legler celebrates his 25th anniversary at ESPN in 2025, having been with the company providing analysis on the NBA since 2000.

ESPN has rehired Jefferson on a multi-year deal to continue his work in studio and game coverage events. Jefferson, who won an NBA Championship with the Cavaliers in 2016, called his NBA Finals in 2025. Richard initially joined ESPN in 2019 as a studio analyst, before transitioning to a hybrid role of studio analyst/game analyst in more recent years. With this new deal, Jefferson is set to continue calling top-tier games on ESPN and ABC in addition to appearing on studio programming throughout the year on an occasional basis.

ESPN, Doris Burke Reach Extension To Continue 30+ Year Relationship:

Doris Burke, the Naismith Basketball Hall of Famer, has signed a new multi-year deal with ESPN. Doris will continue to be seen on ESPN and ABC, including the NBA Sunday Showcase program. Burke's slate of games includes regular-season and postseason contests. Throughout the 2025-26 season, Burke is expected to call most of her games with play-by-play announcer Dave Pasch. As a result of Burke's new contract with ESPN, her time at the Worldwide Leader will span over 35 years. Burke first joined ESPN in 1991 as a basketball analyst and has been with ESPN/ABC ever since, covering basketball in various roles. Burke has worked 17 NBA Finals during her career, including 11 as a sideline reporter and 6 as a game analyst (television or radio).

2025-26 NBA on ESPN/ABC Game Announcers:

When ESPN begins its 24th NBA season in October, the network's coverage of NBA basketball will feature a robust lineup of play-by-play commentators, analysts, and sideline reporters. Dave Pasch, Mark Jones, and Ryan Ruocco join Breen as additional play-by-play commentators. Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame broadcaster Jay Bilas and two-time Executive of the Year Bob Myers return as additional game analysts to supplement Burke, Legler, and Jefferson. Salters will be responsible for leading ESPN's revamped sideline reporter lineup, including Katie George and Jorge Sedano. More sideline reporters will be added later on.

• TNT's Opening Week schedule includes NHL leading goal scorer Alexander Ovechkin & Washington Capitals entertaining David Pastrňák and the Boston Bruins on Wednesday, October 8 at 7:30 PM (ET). Later, Mitch Marner and Vegas Golden Knights match up with Anze Kopitar and the Los Angeles Kings on Wednesday, October 8 at 10:00 PM (ET).

• NHL on TNT serves as the exclusive national broadcast partner of the 2026 Discover NHL Winter Classic on Friday, January 2 — New York Rangers vs. Florida Panthers at LoanDepot Park in Miami, Florida.

• TNT's regular season coverage highlighted by Tuesday & Wednesday night games, Thanksgiving Showdown (Rangers vs. Bruins) on Black Friday, & several Sunday afternoon and/or evening games starting in March of 2026.

Turner Sports (TNT) is starting its fifth season of live NHL coverage, featuring its largest schedule yet with 72 regular season games. The season begins with a game between Alexander Ovechkin, the League’s all-time goal scorer, and the Washington Capitals against four-time NHL All-Star David Pastrňák and the Boston Bruins at 7:30 p.m. (ET) on Wednesday, October 8. The exciting schedule also includes the 2026 Discover NHL Winter Classic, the Thanksgiving Showdown, regular live games on Tuesday and Wednesday nights, and extra Sunday afternoon and/or evening games in Spring 2026 (Sunday, March 1 through Sunday, April 12, most Sundays during this time).

The 2025-26 season will end with the NHL on TNT covering the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs, including the First Round, Second Round, and Conference Final.

During the opening week of NHL coverage on TNT, key NHL storylines will be highlighted. This includes Alex Ovechkin, the new all-time goal scorer, leading the Washington Capitals in their first game of the season against the Boston Bruins, a team from the Original Six at 7:30 PM (ET). Later at 10:00 PM (ET), the 2023 Stanley Cup Champions, the Vegas Golden Knights, will compete against the Los Angeles Kings, featuring players like Jack Eichel, Mitch Marner, Anže Kopitar, and Quinton Byfield.

The regular season schedule for NHL on TNT will showcase the top stars and rivalries in hockey, with broadcasts on 14 Tuesdays and 21 Wednesdays throughout the season. Additionally, there will be the annual Thanksgiving Showdown on Black Friday, November 28, featuring the New York Rangers facing the Boston Bruins at 1:00 PM (ET).

TNT will also be the exclusive broadcaster for the 2026 Discover NHL Winter Classic on Friday, January 2 at 8:00 PM (ET). In this event, the Florida Panthers, including players Brad Marchand, Sam Bennett, and Sergei Bobrovsky, will host the New York Rangers, featuring Artemi Panarin and Mika Zibanejad, live from LoanDepot Park in Miami, Florida, home of the MLB's Miami Marlins.

- In January, the Capitals face the Stars on Wednesday, January 7 and the Avalanche on Martin Luther King Jr., Day on Monday, January 19.

- On Wednesday, March 11, the Capitals visit the Flyers at 7:30 PM (ET) in a Eastern Conference showdown.

• The reigning two-time Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers are scheduled to make the first of six NHL on TNT appearances on Wednesday, October 15, at 7:00 PM (ET), taking on the Detroit Red Wings.

• The 2025-26 season marks the 100th season for the Chicago Blackhawks and the New York Rangers. The two clubs will go head-to-head on Wednesday, December 10 in a matchup of teams that have plenty of history and success.

• To make the holiday season a little better for the hockey fan out there, Turner Sports has a early Christmas present - a Tuesday tripleheader on Tuesday, December 23 starting at 4:00 PM (ET), with Penguins at Maple Leafs, Stars at Red Wings, and Flyers at Blackhawks.

• The Battle of the New York is back on the 'NHL on TNT" in late January, as the New York Islanders battle their cross-town rival, the New York Rangers, on Wednesday, January 28 at 7:30 PM (ET).

• A tripleheader to welcome in the 2025-26 NHL regular season on Tuesday, October 7 — Blackhawks vs. Panthers (5:00 PM ET), Penguins vs. Rangers (8:00 PM ET), & Avalanche vs. Kings (10:30 PM ET).

• "NHL Frozen Frenzy" takes over ESPN on Tuesday, October 28 with a triple play of games, including Penguins-Flyers (6:00 PM ET), Capitals-Stars (8:30 PM ET), and Kings-Sharks (11:00 PM ET).

• The Bruins & Lightning will take the ice in the 2026 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL on Sunday, February 1 on ESPN (Time TBD).

Earlier this week, ESPN and The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) officially disclosed their 2025-26 NHL regular season broadcast schedule. This season, 100 exclusive games will be televised across ABC, ESPN, ESPN+, and Hulu. Plus, games will be made available on the newly enhanced ESPN App all season long. Key events that ESPN and TWDC are set to cover during the 2025-26 NHL season, including the NHL Opening Night Tripleheader (October 7), NHL Frozen Frenzy (October 28), 2026 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series (February 1). ESPN and ABC will begin their coverage of the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs in mid-April, culminating with ABC's exclusive presentation of the 2026 Stanley Cup Final in June. 

ESPN's weekly NHL studio program, "The Point", makes their season debut on Tuesday, October 7 at 4:00 PM (ET)/1:00 PM (PT) on ESPN and ESPN+, in advance of ESPN's tripleheader of opening night action. Generally, "The Point" will air weekly on ESPN2 and ESPN+.

NHL Opening Night on ESPN:

The 2025-26 NHL regular season begins on Tuesday, October 7, with ESPN carrying a tripleheader on their network.

At 5:00 PM (ET), the Chicago Blackhawks, led by Connor Bedard, will play the two-time defending Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers, who will raise their championship banner before the game at Amerant Bank Arena.

At 8:00 PM (ET), Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins will compete against former coach Mike Sullivan and the New York Rangers, featuring star goalie Igor Shesterskin, at Madison Square Garden.

Finally, at 10:30 PM (ET), the Colorado Avalanche will the Los Angeles Kings at Crypto.com Arena.

NHL Frozen Frenzy Returns on Tuesday, October 28:

The "NHL Frozen Frenzy" for this season, which is a unique event showcasing all 32 teams in competition, is set to take place on Tuesday, October 28. The event will be headlined by an exclusive tripleheader on ESPN, commencing at 6:00 PM (ET). This lineup includes the matchups between the Pittsburgh Penguins and the Philadelphia Flyers, the Washington Capitals against the Dallas Stars, and the Los Angeles Kings facing off with the San Jose Sharks.

As every team competes, both ESPN2 and ESPN+ will once again offer a whip-around show that provides live updates and highlights from each game, showcasing the most exciting plays, impactful hits, and notable goals of the night.

2026 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series:

The 2026 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series between the Boston Bruins and the Tampa Bay Lightning, takes place on Sunday, February 1 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, home of the NFL's Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The game will be shown on ESPN, at a time TBD.
