Las Vegas is in its third WNBA Finals in a four-season span, seeking a third championship and joining the Houston Comets (4 straight from 1997 to 2000) as the only WNBA franchises to win three or more titles. Phoenix qualified for its first WNBA Finals since 2021, as the team aims to win its first WNBA championship since 2014. The newly expanded best-of-seven WNBA Finals begin on Friday, October 3, from Las Vegas, Nevada, at 8:00 PM ET on ESPN.

For the 29th consecutive season, ESPN provides media coverage of the WNBA Finals. Games 2, 3, and 4 of the Finals will take place on Sunday, October 5, Wednesday, October 8, & Friday, October 10. If necessary, Games 5, 6, and 7 are scheduled for Sunday, October 12, Wednesday, October 15, & Friday, October 17.

ESPN's commentary team for the 2025 WNBA Finals presented by YouTube TV includes play-by-play commentator Ryan Ruocco, analyst and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer Rebecca Lobo, and sideline reporter and fellow Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer Holly Rowe. This team is set to work their 13th WNBA Finals as a trio.

NBA Today — ESPN's daily NBA show — travels to the WNBA Finals for the first time in the show's history. ESPN host and reporter Malika Andrews leads coverage from the game site, joined by analysts Chiney Ogwumike and Monica McNutt. The show will have interviews with Aces & Mercury players.

WNBA Countdown presented by Google goes live from on-site pregame shows before each game of the 2025 WNBA Finals. Elle Duncan hosts alongside analysts Chiney Ogwumike and Andraya Carter. As a new element for this year's pregame show, the ladies will conduct their duties from court level, providing ESPN/ABC with unrivaled access to the players and the atmosphere right before game time. Ahead of Friday's Game 1, WNBA Countdown will have an exclusive film session with Ogwumike and Alyssa Thomas of the Phoenix Mercury (former teammates). Plus, Andraya Carter sits down with Las Vegas Aces superstar A'ja Wilson.
