Zach Ertz and the Washington Commanders (2-1) try to defeat Leonard Floyd and the Atlanta Falcons (1-2) for the fifth straight season on Sunday, September 28, at 1:00 PM ET on CBS, featuring play-by-play announcer Ian Eagle, analyst and three-time Defensive Player of the Year JJ Watt, and reporter Evan Washburn on the call. The Commanders come off a 41-21 victory over the Raiders last week behind backup quarterback Marcus Mariota. Second-year starter Jayden Daniels missed the game due to a knee injury.
Donte Jackson and the undefeated Los Angeles Chargers (3-0) look to remain undefeated as the Chargers fly out to the East Coast to play rookie QB Jaxson Dart and the New York Giants (0-3) on Sunday, September 28, at 1:00 PM ET on CBS, called by veteran play-by-play commentator Kevin Harlan, analyst and former NFL quarterback Trent Green, and reporter Melanie Collins. The Chargers, who lead the AFC West after three weeks, defeated the Broncos 23-20 at SoFi Stadium last Sunday. The Giants fell 22-9 to the Chiefs on "Sunday Night Football" last week. The Chargers are 3-0 for the first time since 2002, when they won their first four games of the season. Chargers S Derwin James Jr. had 10 solo tackles, a sack, and a career-best four tackles for loss in last week's win vs. the Broncos. This week's game marks the NFL debut for Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart (from Ole Miss), replacing Russell Wilson, who was benched. After three weeks, Giants rookie RB Cam Skattebo (from Arizona State) leads the team in rushing with 102 yards and 2 touchdowns on 23 carries (4.4 avg).
Taron Johnson and the undefeated Buffalo Bills (3-0) look to protect their home field at Highmark Stadium as they welcome Alvin Kamara and the winless New Orleans Saints (0-3) to Western New York on Sunday, September 28, at 1:00 PM ET on CBS, with Andrew Catalon (play-by-play), Super Bowl champion Jason McCourty (analyst), Charles Davis (analyst), & AJ Ross (reporter) on the broadcast call. Saints DE Cameron Jordan has brought 49 players to the ground over the course of his long career. If Cam Jordan gets a sack on Bills QB Josh Allen on Sunday, he will be the 50th man that Jordan has brought down. Since his NFL arrival in 2017, Saints RB Alvin Kamara ranks second in yards from scrimmage with 11,744 yards (only trailing Ravens RB Derrick Henry - 12,709). Bills RB James Cook III has rushed for a touchdown in seven consecutive regular-season games, tying the franchise record. Entering this week, the Bills have run 574 straight plays without a turnover. Since 1950, that is the longest streak by any NFL team.
Two AFC South rivals get together in Week 4 as Roger McCreary and the Tennessee Titans (0-3) take on Christian Kirk and the Houston Texans (0-3), as both sides attempt to grab a much-needed win following a dismal start to 2025, on Sunday, September 28, at 1:00 PM ET on CBS. Beth Mowins, Ross Tucker, and Amanda Balionis announce the action from NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas. The Titans get creamed at home by the Colts, losing 41-20.
