Earlier this week, ESPN and The Walt Disney Company (TWDC) officially disclosed their 2025-26 NHL regular-season broadcast schedule. This season, 100 exclusive games will be televised across ABC, ESPN, ESPN+, and Hulu. Additionally, games will be made available on the newly enhanced ESPN App throughout the entire season. Key events that ESPN and TWDC are set to cover during the 2025-26 NHL season, including the NHL Opening Night Tripleheader (October 7), NHL Frozen Frenzy (October 28), and 2026 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series (February 1). ESPN and ABC will begin their coverage of the 2026 Stanley Cup Playoffs in mid-April, culminating with ABC's exclusive presentation of the 2026 Stanley Cup Final in June.
ESPN's weekly NHL studio program, "The Point", makes its season debut on Tuesday, October 7 at 4:00 PM (ET)/1:00 PM (PT) on ESPN and ESPN+, in advance of ESPN's tripleheader of opening night action. Generally, "The Point" will air weekly on ESPN2 and ESPN+.
"ABC Hockey Saturday":
For the fourth straight season, ABC will present NHL hockey coverage on Saturday afternoons and/or nights. The franchise, called "ABC Hockey Saturday", will consist of a 16-game package airing most Saturdays from Saturday, January 3 through Saturday, April 11 (with the exceptions of January 17, January 24, February 7, February 14, & February 21).
Stanley Cup Final:
ABC will televise the Stanley Cup Final in June 2026.

The NHL season progresses this week with three exclusive games available on ABC, ESPN, ESPN+, Disney+, and Hulu.
The action begins on Tuesday, January 6, featuring a matchup in the Metropolitan Division. Jack Hughes, who has recently been selected for the Team USA Men’s Hockey roster for 2026, will lead the New Jersey Devils against the New York Islanders, who are represented by the 2025 No. 1 draft pick, Matthew Schaefer. This game is scheduled to start at 7:30 PM ET and will be broadcast on ESPN+, Disney+, and Hulu.

| ❃ The NHL Stadium Series returns this weekend as the Lightning host the Bruins in the 2026 Navy Federal Credit Union Stadium Series from Tampa's Raymond James Stadium — Sunday, February 1 at 6:30 PM ET on ESPN
The 2026 Navy Federal Credit Union NHL Stadium Series will take place for the fifth consecutive year on ESPN networks, featuring the Tampa Bay Lightning hosting the Boston Bruins on Sunday, February 1, at 6:30 PM ET.
ESPN’s commentary team will include Sean McDonough as the play-by-play announcer, Ray Ferraro as the analyst, Kevin Weekes as the reporter, and Emily Kaplan as the insider/reporter. The studio team, consisting of Steve Levy, Mark Messier, and P.K. Subban, will be present in Tampa Bay.
Following the Stadium Series game on ESPN, the Pacific Division-leading Vegas Golden Knights will compete against the Anaheim Ducks and Cutter Gauthier at 9:30 PM ET.
ABC Hockey Saturday doubleheader:
On Saturday, January 31, a day before the Stadium Series, "ABC Hockey Saturday" will present a doubleheader starting at 1:00 PM ET, featuring the league-leading Colorado Avalanche against the Red Wings. Later at 3:30 PM ET, the New York Rangers will face the Pittsburgh Penguins. The NHL season will resume this week after the break for the Olympic Winter Games, featuring five exclusive games on ABC and ESPN. The action will kick off on Thursday, February 26, with an ESPN doubleheader. The Philadelphia Flyers and New York Rangers, led by recent Olympic Gold medal winners Vincent Trocheck and J.T. Miller under the guidance of coach Mike Sullivan, will face off in prime time at 8:00 PM ET. Following that, at 10:30 PM ET, the Edmonton Oilers, featuring Connor McDavid who recently earned the Olympic MVP title, will compete against the Los Angeles Kings in a first-round rematch from last year’s Stanley Cup Playoffs.
ABC Hockey Saturday will return with an exciting lineup from the Eastern Conference. The day will begin with the Pittsburgh Penguins and their star player Sidney Crosby facing the Rangers at 12:30 PM ET. This week, the NHL season heats up with five exciting games available exclusively on ABC, ESPN, ESPN+, Disney+, and Hulu. The action kicks off on Monday, March 16, with an ESPN doubleheader. First up at 7:00 PM ET, the Boston Bruins, featuring top goal-scorer Morgan Geekie, will battle it out against Jack Hughes and the New Jersey Devils as they strive to secure their Wild Card spot. Then, at 9:30 PM ET, the Pittsburgh Penguins, led by Erik Karlsson, will take on the league-leading Colorado Avalanche and Nathan MacKinnon in a crucial game for both clubs.
The thrill doesn't stop there! On Thursday, March 19, you can catch an doubleheader on ESPN+, Disney+, and Hulu, starting at 7:30 PM ET with a Western Conference clash. This week, the NHL regular season continues with five exclusive games broadcasted across various platforms, including ABC, ESPN, ESPN+, Disney+, and Hulu.
The action kicks off on Tuesday, March 24 with a doubleheader on ESPN+, Disney+, and Hulu, starting at 7:00 PM ET. Zach Werenski and the Columbus Blue Jackets strive to maintain their playoff position in the Metropolitan Division as they face off against Travis Konecny and the Philadelphia Flyers. Later, at 9:30 PM ET, the Edmonton Oilers, led by Connor McDavid, challenge the Utah Mammoth, who are desperately trying to secure their Wild Card spot in the Western Conference.
The excitement continues on Thursday, March 26 with another ESPN doubleheader beginning at 7:00 PM ET. Throughout this week, 2025-26 NHL regular season action will continue with seven exclusive games available on ABC, ESPN, ESPN+, Disney+, and Hulu.
Following the traditional telecast of the Capitals-Rangers game earlier on Sunday, the St. Louis Blues will face off against the Colorado Avalanche at 9:30 PM ET on ESPN.
The week’s exclusive game action kicks off on Tuesday, March 31, at 7:30 PM ET on ESPN+, Disney+, and Hulu, with the Carolina Hurricanes, led by Seth Jarvis, competing against the Columbus Blue Jackets and Zach Werenski in a Metropolitan Division clash.
As the race to the Stanley Cup Playoffs intensifies, Thursday, April 2 will feature a doubleheader on ESPN+, Disney+, and Hulu, starting at 7:30 PM ET with Jack Hughes and the New Jersey Devils hosting Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals. Later, at 10:00 PM ET, the Utah Mammoth will strive to maintain their Wild Card position in a Western Conference face-off against the Seattle Kraken.
